Studio standard

Great as a rezo side for a long-sustain drums like my yamaha beech custom.

Clear tones in a bundle. Thin, easy to tune, with no added muffling. Good tone, good sustain and nice resonance.

Top quality and reliability

Remo has never disappointed me. The heads hold the tuning and have a very wide range of tuning. They are also very durable and reliable. Overall, guaranteed satisfaction.

Quickly worn out...

Sound good but they really get worn out quickly.

I would recommend Remo Pinstripes instead.

I've used the Pinstripes as well and they're :

• More durable

• Have a similar "clear head" sound

• Push you to bash them to get a nice full sound that the Ambassadors don't have (sound thinner).

I play metal and punk by the way!

Great heads!

I use them on the resonant side. Great quality and sound. Highly recommended!

Couldn't go wrong with these ones

I use these as my resonant heads.

They fulfill that purpose great.

I own a Yamaha Tour Custom 8000 drums, with deep toms, and these heads provide the right amount of resonance.

Bottom of all my toms/snares

Have to stick with REMO.

I like too keep REMO top and bottom

Great Great quality.

They are thinner than other top skins.

Longer life span then top skins obviously.

Will buy again..

A great set of heads

I use these as resonant heads for my toms, tried them out combined with coated emperors on the batter side. They sound great - a warm, full tone, especially good for a bit of a higher tuning. Jazzy. Vintage. That's what it feels like when playing these heads.

They produce a substantial amount of ring, though. I personally kind of like it, and it's nothing a bit of tape won't fix.

All in all - recommended!

These are cheap and a good reference point

Compared to the murky world of off-brand nameless/budget starter skins something like these will improve the sound of your kit immensely. Of course once you've some experience you might want to branch out a little, but at least you've a great starting off point with a reliable skin. They take a range of tunings very well.

These are pretty thin single ply skins. If you don't already know they tend to be pretty springy with a decent ring and projection, I think they suit all styles of music, but they aren't as durable as double ply or coated heads so heavy hitters or people convinced they are playing in heavy bands and as such need something more durable might not be so keen on them.

I find remo coated tend to chip off almost straight away anyway as well, so clear are fine for top or reso heads.

Love these drum heads

These Remo Ambassador clear drum heads are my favourite drum heads to use. I find they tune up really easy, sounding good, tuned at high tensions or tuned low. I think they have a great attack, sounding nice and punchy, which is great for playing live.

I would choose these heads for more of a rocky sound, as opposed to a jazzy warm sound, where people would tend to use a coated head.

I have found that these heads last a very long time, you really get your gigs worth out of them, I am yet to break one of these heads, their durability is great, and for the amount they cost, you can't go wrong.

Deep

They make my toms sound deeper with less overtones and more punch. A medium amount of sustain and allows it to make them sound perfect for me :)

Best reap skins for my PDPX7

Great All Round Head

Great all round head. I use as batter and resonant. Great open sound when tuned well. For the harder hitters however, they can start to pit, so maybe an emperor/pinstripe is a better bet.

Worth the price

Everything with those is okay. Sounds pretty good. All it needs maybe more sustain. First tuning was very easy and fast, no need for hard work by tuning toms. Not much to say about those. The price says everything. If you need pro set you go pro set. If you need practise set you deffenetly buy those.
