Simply Great

Connected to a UFX+, they work well together. The UFX+ can be rack mounted and no need to touch it at all, unless you are dealing with cables. The remote has 12 assignable buttons and it is possible to control most of TotalMix necessary functions from it. It is well built and very solid. Great addition to any RME Audio Interface that's compatible with the ARC USB. I recommend this.

A must tool for rme cards

I got the RME UC as an upgrade from saffire pro 26.but on rme everything can be controlled from totalmix so with the help of arc I can assign the buttons to do muting, gain controlling, headphones/monitor volume control and is very handy on all the tasks.

The quality of the unit is solid metal all the buttons have dim lights and the knob is good also.

Its a time saver

top device

I don't have anything bad to say about this controller really. It speeds up your workflow instantly. It took me about half an hour before I figured out how to set it up in Totalmix FX (thanks to the RME youtube channel), but once I had that going, it's easy.

Sizewise it's big enough so you can control it from out of the corner of your eye, very tactile, but small enough as to not take a lot of space on crammed desktops. It's lightweight, built like a Land Rover and works on USB-1 so hardly any CPU-draw. The ability to work with snapshots is a great feature to easily swap between a mixing, tracking or mastering environment.

The big volume control is definitely a plus.

A "must have" for any RME sound card

Controller for RME sound cards that works perfectly with RME TotalMix (In my case RME HDSPe).

Ideal solution for switching between two pairs of monitors and controlling volume.

Pros:

- Solid build.

- Feel of the buttons and rotary encoder.

- No installation needed - just plug in at it works.

Cons:

- None.

Built like a tank

Sturdily built, the buttons feel very high-quality. Total control over the TotalMix software, it's fast and responsive, the jog wheel also feels great. I use this for controlling my main out going to my monitors, enabling and disabling my subwoofer, summing to mono, and engaging and disengaging phantom power on the front outs of the FF 802. But it can do so much more. Only thing that would be great is some kind of on-screen display when adjusting parameters like main volume, just so you know where you are, since you won't have the totalmix window up all the time when adjusting.

Nice looking and Premium Quality

I have to say that this controller is even better than my expectation (that were quite high because we're speaking about RME), in terms of aestethic and build quality. It looks really solid, even when you touch it. Buttons but especially the wheel are very comfortable and look totally durable.

Personally, I would just have added a talkback mic to it.

In use as monitor controller

I use this as a monitor controller with the RME Totalmix with the RME UFX. I use the Snap buttons for six monitoring presets:

HS8 / NS10m / both HS8 and NS10m / HS8 + Focal Sub / NS10m + Focal Sub / HS8 + NS10m sub + mains

The other two snap presets are for Recording,

The mono works well.

Great little unit that saves the on using a monitor controller and lets me set the cross over dB roll off slope and frequencies in RME Totalmix.

I think it can do much more. For instance I have to explore more about assigning the rest of the buttons and jog wheel.

This is, in conjunction with the RNE UFX, one of my most used pieces of hardware.

If you use UFX or UFX+, consider this addition

This remote is of very high build quality. Case is solid aluminum, buttons feel really nice to the touch, and jog wheel is precise.

It's also extremely programmable using RME's TotalMix FX software. You even get stickers with all possible functions so you can put them below buttons depending on how you program the remote - very useful.

This is classic RME - high quality and no compromise. I especially like that you don't need to connect the remote to the back of the UFX+ (which is rack-mounted in my desk), so I can just hook it up to my computer's USB port and that's it!

I cannot say a single bad thing about this unit, really.
