RME Digiface USB 5-stars Reviews
Excellent for my use
I bought this only to use when traveling. It gave me "access" to rme's stable drivers, small latency and the totalmix in a portable package.

Best entry to the RME experience
Combined with a good ADAT expansion like the Ferrofish, the Digiface USB is a relatively inexpensive gateway to the low latency, flexible routing, years-long support experience of having an RME interface as the backbone of your studio.
RME Have very good manuals as well as products.
Pleased to find the RME Interface (Digiface USB) was good, well above my expectations.
Great entry into RME drivers!
Pair this with any Adat or Toslink device and add up to 32 channels in and out. I'm using it right now with just a Stereo Toslink in/out for monitoring and two channel recording but planing on adding a 8 ch Adat preamplifier soon. Totalmix is a real workhorse allowing you to route any signal to any output, and also a loopback feature that is very handy.
My savior!
digiface usb is just works. it is what it is. what you see is what you get, no surprises. I use this interface as my backup plan cause my old fireface 800 have some trouble in firewire port. so I try to move things around to usb connectivity while I can connect all the device with the ADAT connection.
Fantastic job RME!
adat master of all trades
if you want to setup a large audio io setup for a fair price you cannot get much better than the digiface usb and a few old firewire audiocards connected thru adat, of course you can also pair it with more modern options such as the popular ferrofish or many other adat options, I just wish it had an aes / coaxial spdif output for direct connection to digital speakers without any adat channel
Legendary RME Drivers
I bought this to move from a RayDAT Set up to a macbook m1 set up. So for all intents and purposes it's a direct swap. On paper the latency is higher over USB than PCIe/TB chassis but in all honesty I have not noticed. The whole move from my hackintosh to M1 macbook has been pretty miserable, but I knew RME wouldn't let me down, even over USB.
Almost perfect!
Too bad there are no built-in effects! But the price is also low. Everything else is excellent!
RME the Oracle of interfaces
Hooked up to my Ferrofish ad/da converters. I'm a happy man.
Great
Reliable. Set and forget. I should have made the switch to RME sooner.
The only thing i don't like is the box. It's unnecessarily way too big and too much for such a small device.
Amazing interface. Simple, everything works without any issue.
Would be amazing if could work with iOS.
Very good digital audio interface
The only minus is that it is not Class Compliant. but RME drivers are rock solid, so no worry.
What i needed
small and discrete , robust , great drivers , low latency , lots of I/O
Reliable adat interface
RME product have always been awesome. I've used&owned various RME interfaces throughout the last 15 years and all of them have been super reliable and stable. Now I had to retire my old HDSPe+Digiface because my new computer does not have PCIExpress slot. Bought a Digiface USB version and it works perfectly.
For me, the most important factor is the stability on low buffer size, i.e. on low latency.
Just works
Rme is renowned for being reliable. This one is no exception, installed it and it just worked flawlessly.
I bought it in order to re-use a firewire interface from a very know brand who just dropped windows 10 support... Routed all the analog inputs interface adat out and plug it to this baby, and routed 8 outputs from the RME to the ADAT IN of the interface, and routed the adat inputs internally to the interface analog outputs... PERFECT!
Highly recommended if you have a high quality firewire interface and are dealing with the same issues.
Fantastic Interface
Typical RME high quality unit, works fantastically and so easy to setup
Very good
Very nice sound card, you can expand the I/O's with external ADAT interfaces. RME quality USB drivers, Total Mix is excellent. Very satisfied.
One Con: there's not any power switch, you have to disconnect the USB cable to turn the device off.
32 channels in the palm of your hand
This device has revolutionized my setup, i primarily use this to connect 32 Channels of additional mic pre's via a 4 ADAT connections to my large setup. Digiface is must a buy for anyone who wants additional i/o without breaking the bank on a large audio interface.
All good
RME does a fantastic job!
