Don´t use it recording a bass drum

I bought this in order to record a bass drum, preferebly with the mic inside the drum. When extending the stand it falls over. The joint won´t hold up the mic either due to the weak construction of the screw. I think it will do the job using duct tape to strenghten the construction and something heavy to keep it from falling over.

Overall quality feels poor. It is cheap though so I still think it deserves a 3/5.

Small mike stand

Excellent quality and sturdy make. BUT - I bought for a small amp and using a SM57 the mike is too heavy for the stand. It will topple over if you extend the boom, like in the picture. You need to either have the boom pointed almost vertically up or down or it will topple. I think the feet are too small. The amp I am using is small but it would not be stable if you used it on a bigger amp and needed to extend it.
