Roadworx MSM 2000 Reviews
Does not filter all the pops
This did not work as well as i had hoped. I still got a lot of pops through it and it ruined a lot of vocal takes for me. I got rid of it, this may be good enough for streaming and talking, but not for singing.
Good product
We bought one for Oktava319, and surprised by the quality, we ordered two more (for AKG C12 and Braunner VM1).
Pretty good for the price
Can't be too abused because it seems fragile, but it secures even the most heavy microphones very well.
Ok for its price
It is made of plastic, it hasn't got any rubber for anti-shock purposes and it feels cheap. But for its price gets the job done. I have it for 2 months now and it is working fine
Roadworx MSM 2000 - Excellent
This Microphone shock mount is very impressive. I like using this.
Amazing Gear! Love it
Was just amazing stuff. Very strong and useful accessory for my Mic. Love it so far.
Affordable flexible microphone suspension
The suspension would seem to be similar to more expensive microphone suspensions on the market. Flexible with four adjustable thumb screw clamps this unit can accommodate lots of different microphones. Getting the four clamps to grip properly can be a little fiddly/tricky. I found that setting three clamps to the diameter of the mic and then leaving one 'loose' allowed for a more easy microphone mounting. The windscreen simply slots into place. Once in place its can be quite hard to remove/adjust. The serrated legs that locate into the suspension are made of relatively soft plastic so I may take a file to these to slim down a little so that installation and removal will be a tad easier and quicker. All in all a decent purchase given the price. Suspension works well with my large diaphragm microphones.
Does the job!
Exactly what I was looking for and at a great price compared to other ones I've found. Works well with my PX-1. Only thing is the pop filter isn't great but it wasn't important for me as I have others.
Quite nice
This is obviously a ripoff of rycote invision.
They added a second piece of suspension loop but if you cut them off the elasticity and isolation properties become almost identical.
Not a fan of the pop filter mounting as it doesn’t allow fully free positioning, but hey they can’t ripoff everything.
The screws that hold the mic feel slightly lesser î quality but a 1/3 of the price i can’t complain.
I see no reason to use any other style of shockmount at this point
Functional + stable
I've been using this mount for a month now, and it's super reliable! I do wish that the wind screen were easier to adjust: I have to really tug it to get the plastic teeth to budge.
Great
For the price it's spectacular. I have the SE Electronics X1S fitted (fastening the mic was a little finicky) and the whole unit mounted to a Millenium DS150 and the rig is stable. I have tried it in multiple positions and after settling in and being tightened once it held each position at least a week.
It reduced vibrations and other noises considerably for me.
Great for the price.
I did not want to pay the pricetag for the aston shockmount.
I must say this feels the same and is cheaper, so I recommend it!
very good product
not for light microphones like neuman tlm102. but perfect for rode nt1a and similar body.
Effective
It does what's advertised without exceptions.
Pretty good for it's price
I was looking for a shockmount with a pop filter to attach my AKG P120 to.
This seemed a good match and it really is. I wish the shock suppressing parts to be a bit softer and plastic texture be a little smoother but overall it's fine.
This thing is awesome considering the asking price.
The best versatile shock mount
Great build quality
I've tried with my Shure ksm 32, Rode K2 , SE3300 works very well.
I think this mount will work with every mic perfectly
It works as it should
It's solid and does the job. If you're setting up a home studio on a budget, I'd recommend it strongly
Great for the money
Currently using with an Aston Stealth, all fits and secures well, not had any issues with the microphone slipping out.
Attaches to the stand smoothly and firm.
All the adjustment screws feel decent quality and not going to slip or just fail randomly.
Not using the pop shield that comes with, but nice that it's an option if I decide to use a side address microphone in future, seems solid enough.
Does the job it says it's going to do, not had any issues at all, could spend a lot more for worse.
