Perfect!

Nobody in the reviews mentions using this with the Sennheiser MKH 416. I took a risk and bought this and it's like it was made for the 416. I'd imagine it will work on any major shotgun mic, but to put anyones mind at rest....it will work for sure with the 416.

Works just fine!

Well constructed effective shockmount. I bought it for Neumann KM183/4 mics which fit very well.

Quality, gets the job done, aesthetically pleasing.

Ever so often a product arrives and you're left with a very pleasing feeling with regards to its sturdy build, overall quality, and ergonomic use. The Rode SM4-R falls into that bit. Although a mere accessory, it is very well built, feels expensive, and holds your microphone incredibly well anywhere you want it. Definitely worth the purchase.

Professional product of high quality

Used for mounting some small diaphragm condenser microphones in the studio e.g. Shure SM81, AKG C451 etc, for anti-vibration reasons. For mics of that diameter and similar dimensions it fits perfectly. Elastic "rings" hold very tight the mics while cable clip in the back of the mount's base ensure that the position of the microphone would not changed by accidental pulling of the cables. Although it isn't the cheapest solution out there it looks almost identical for this kind of use.

The results are very satisfying while the built quality and the quality of materials are of high grade. User can customise the position of elastic "rings" by place them in different points so they could fit perfectly for a certain mic. The package comes with allen screws to fasten the rings to the base along with the appropriate screw driver, so you will not have to turn your toolbox upside down to find the right screwdriver... In conclusion, this is a good and reliable product but it is not cheap
