Minimalist, but great value

I bought this set just so that I can stay in practice when visiting the family home (I have a TD12 set in my main home).

It's easy to set up and the build quality very good. The pads are a bit small, and the rack restricts the cymbal placement to be a little too cramped for my liking. But the sound is great (though the maximum volume through the headphones is quite low). For the money it's very good, and it does the job for which I bought it perfectly well.

Simple and good quality

Very nice drum set for beginners. Easy to set up, easy to plug to PC, simple & trusty. I don't really like the quality of pedals, since they're squick a lot.

TD-1K V-Drum Set

First drum set ever. For beginners more than enough. Maybe a snare upgrade in couple of weeks...

Great for beginners!

It has been over a year since I got this drum set, and it is just great for beginners.

Very straightforward setup and easy to jump in. The drum presets are good enough for anyone to just turn the kit on and start drumming away. Lots of advanced features are missing, which is (imo) a good thing for beginners who can then focus on their technique and timing.

The sound quality is good enough for headphones and there is a possibility to connect an external sound source for a small jam/practice session. I did play around with the MIDI output, and found it to be somewhat lacking in terms of sensitivity (perhaps it was me who didn't fully tune the settings) when trying to record it in GarageBand.

The compact style is great for those living in an apartment, and the pads and pedals are silent enough that I have never had neighbours complain. :)

Overall, this is a product for those who wish to enter the world of drumming at an affordable price.

Great kit for starters

great 16 high quality sounds

great quality, durability and build

does not make too much noise, although cushioned pads would be more silent

perhaps purchase the version with a proper snare for more realistic feel

Excellent set of beginner edrums

Highly recomended beginner edrum set: very well built with a sturdy mount allowing you to play a bit harder on the pads and still keep them under control, relatively low noise pads and very good sounds.

The kick is very silent which is an absolute must if you live in a apartment.

What's even better is that you can connect to your PC and use dum software such as EZDrum or superior for a more diversified array of sounds and also to record.

As for upgrades to the set, I would especially upgrade to a mesh snare for better playbility and feel and to allow rimshots and perhaps later to a better kick pedal.
