For someone with little experience behind a mixing desk this is the perfect product. Every thing is very intuitive and simple to use and the instructions are well laid out. I was able to get this mixer working within 5 minutes and a quick scan of the manual. It has a huge number of channels which allows me to mic up my 6 piece band with all of our various instruments and vocals with ease and still have channels left over for an ipod and whatever else I need. Perhaps the only drawback to this is the fact that you can only use one effect at a time. Perhaps there is a way around this but it is not very clear. Overall an excellent product ,very sturdy and has a very nice design with well color coded dials and a friendly interface.

And not only, I guess! We use it with a Behringer A500 power amplifier and older passive Peavy 15" monitors (2x) in a 20-22m2 practice room. Microphone input seems great, bass guitar direct seems great, electro-acoustic guitar great with some feedback issues, solved with a DI box I am told. Connected iPad mini- great. The low/mid/high controls work very well, boosting/cutting nicely. Seems sturdily built. An included dust cover would have been nice. As would a dedicated mp3 or usb/ipad input. The solo feature allows to monitor clipping on each channel- great. Very pleased!

i wanted to buy an ssl desk, when I saw this little boy and I couldn't resist. joke aside, I thing is the best for this price, with some hard eq you can bring out some warm analog sounds, if you crank them, sometimes you will have nice distortions, just love it. L-R CTRL out, ideal for monitors if you dont have any volume controller. 2x group out 2x stereo out 2x aux sends 1x phones so many outputs for a such small mixer and with a patchbay its even better! the only thing I didnt like it were the fader caps. But i repleaced with "MA Lighting Fader Knob Lightcommander" they are soo soft and gummy, like the B side of my dog <3 you'll want to touch them all day

Great little mixer for the price. I was somewhat skeptical of a mixer at this price point, especially one with on board effects, and from a brand I'd never heard of, but it's surprisingly good actually. It has everything I need for my small live setup. The on board effects sound decent enough, which is way better than I was expecting at this price range. It's light enough and has a small enough foot print that it easily fits in a backpack. I also use it with the ANT MS-68 to mount it on a mic stand, it's easy to get on and off and doesn't weigh down the stand too much. Overall a very solid piece of kit for the price.

This Rolls MX 122 compact stereo mixer is ideal for combining multiple audio signals, either in mono or stereo via 1/4" Jack plugs. I’m using it as part of a stereo FX pedal-board that combines several keyboards/synths into a single stereo output. the rolls also has two different sized headphone output sockets which is very handy for playing multiple keyboards/synths and their outboard FX through a pair of headphones. The build quality is excellent, better than I expected, the case is made of thick metal and the rubber pots are weighted with a convenient notch at their 12 O.clock position. I only wish it came with a UK plug.

Bought it to use it not as mixer but 1 to 4 signal splitter. Works flawlessly, even when used in this "alternative" way. Just turn all the level knobs fully right and connect it backwards. If used as mixer, you should to take into account, that as it is passive device and has approximately -12dB attenuation so you have to add gain afterwards to compensate signal loss. On the other hand, as it is fully passive, it does not add any of its own "colorization" to sound passing trough so in this perspective it is almost fully "transparent". Solidly built with full metal body to last forever and it is really tiny.

I wanted a compact mixer with a decent number of stereo inputs for a few synths. This mixer totally fulfills my needs and also adds 2 effect inserts which allows me to use better effects than the average ones generally fitted on mixers. The sound is really good with deep headroom, very little noise and excellent pre-amps on mics. There is also the very interesting use of the Mute buttons that actually redirects the lane to output 3-4 that you can use to record one track for example. The mixer is built like a tank and is heavy which might me a problem if you want to carry it. I have only one regret that is the PRE/POST on effect is only mapped on effect 1, the second 2 being permanently POST. Other than that I recommend this excellent mixer

I was looking for a good quality mixer to connect various synths and grooveboxes to a hardware recorder and allow me to send signals to 3 different places - Hardware recorder, FX Loop or direct to the main output. This is the smallest unit I could find that had 8 channels as well as alternate/cue out, FX loop and stereo return channel. The only other mixers that offer this are much bigger. Sound quality is great, EQ is powerful and I have no need for cheezy built in FX. The flexible routing of signals makes this a real swiss army knife of audio. Sometimes its a little confusing trying to get the FX loop and Alt send working together so you always hear FX when you want to, but thats just a setup and practice issue. Of course there are a few small things that would be nice extras - level...

The Mackie Mix5 has surprised me alot. I bought this mixer as an addition to my home cinema set-up as I wanted complete control over audio from each of my sources and as well as being able to plug in an mp3 player in to the sound system. The mixer is extremely compact and is its size was a unique selling point for me.It fits extremely well into my setup. Its very lightweight and yet seems very tough. One the most disappointing things about this unit is its power supply. it does not come with a uk adaption which means using its two pin adapter, which isn't ideal. also it would be far better if the power supply was an IEC as i fear this power supply would be very hard to source. also the tape in has no control apart from a send/don't send option. i think by adding control to this...

I bought this mixer to connect various sources to my studio monitors (mic, acoustic guitar, output from guitar amp (through Moer Radar) and PC (aux in)). The mixer is very well built. Because it doesn?t have on/off switch I don?t really turn it off. It works 24/7 for a month now without any problems. Some knobs are a bit smoother than other, but for the price it?s quite nice little mixer. The only problem that I found is that the main mix knob also controls the output of the phones. So with the main mix knob turned all the way down instrument/mic input is not sent to phones (only aux is sent to phones).
