Meinl 19" Byzance Extra Dry T. Crash
Based on 3 reviews
This cymbal is great in every aspect. It's really thin so it opens up immediately and you can play it with hands quite good too. The sound: it still sounds like a crash cymbal but has trashy china-like quality to it. The bell sound isn't too loud and articulate and it's not quite usable as a ride cymbal too as it's more an accent/effect cymbal. It looks really vintage like its been played for years. This ads up to the uniqueness of the sound. It works really well in different genres of playing (rock, metal, jazz, etc.)
Zildjian 19" A-Custom Crash
Based on 2 reviews
I wanted a crash with a full sound that can cut through the mix in songs with heavy guitars and loud open hi-hats and that's what I got. This crash has the typical crash sound, nothing fancy and special about it, but it is very well balanced and fills the mix just where you need it. I would say it is more on the low-end side, but has just enough highs. It is also pretty loud, which is what I was looking for recording-wise, but in a rehearsal it can get uncomfortable so I recommend ear protection. Compared to the 20'' A-custom crash, it lacks a bit of the lows and mids but it is great if you are using the 19'' for smaller accents and the 20'' or both the cymbals for huge accents like the beginning of the song or the chorus. Another great thing about this crash is that you can hit it...
Zildjian 19" K-Custom Hybrid Crash

I use this cymbal predominantly in studio. It is also excellent for live use! It is an extremely versatile and terrific sounding, explosive crash and could also be used as a 19” ride cymbal if required! It would be very well suited to most genres. I find it works very well for both jazz and rock drummers! It could be described as dark or bright - depending on how its played! Fantastic for cymbal rolls too! I have used many, many crash cymbals over the years, and this is my new favourite! I would highly recommend it! I can’t find any faults with this cymbal :)
Meinl 19" Byzance Polyphonic Crash
Based on 1 reviews
If you're here to reassure yourself to buy this crash, you're at the right place. Byzance series has very versatile and complex cymbals, especially rides, and even though this is a crash cymbals, it still wears that label. I use it as my main crash in studio for psychedelic stoner doom project Sunguine. It has that sizzling quality, it doesn't subsides too fast, and it's not too piercing either. I decided to go with 19" because smaller and bigger Polyphonic crashes didn't sound right to my liking. I use it mainly for heavier stuff, but it sounds so deliciously good when you barely crash it during some interlude or calmer parts of the lenghty songs. Bell is also characteristically Byzance sounding, not to bright nor too mellow, just about right. In studio settings you can control...
Ufip 19" Bionic Series Crash
Based on 1 reviews
My favourite cymbal I've bought so far, everything I wanted and more in a main crash cymbal. At 19", it's nice and deep, but also has lots of bright overtones, making it great for crash beats but also for single accented hits. It also responds very well to dynamics and sounds great accompanying both softer and very heavy music. It also works nicely as a ride cymbal, especially the bell which has a very bright and clear ping to it. Also, it's a beautiful cymbal with a gleaming finish and it's definitely an eye catcher. I can't wait to see how it fares with recording. This is the first UFIP pool I've bought and I'll definitely be buying more, the sound is incredible!
Zultan 19" Caz Crash/Ride
Based on 16 reviews
Buying cymbals unheard is risky, but enough good reviews of this 19" C/R and £110 price tag, made me take a chance.Ive been playing it alongside Zildjians A and Ks,Meinl Byzanze Jazz,,and Istanbul Mel Lewis cymbals, and it holds its own sonically amongst these top end cymbals.I read the bell was smaller on these, that's untrue. It has a low pitch wash that never overpowers, and a decent crash that gets out of the way quick when hit on the edge, the bell is great for Latin grooves too.It is a jazz cymbal really, similar to K Zildjians, really great on a one cymbal and hi hats gig. This can be used in most music genres except really loud amplified stuff, however ,it's no quieter than other similar sized b20 hand hammered cymbals that I have.
Zultan 19" Dune Crash
Based on 3 reviews
The Zultan Dune line of cymbals seems pretty well made, but to me the sound is very bright and not what I'd call "trashy" at all. I was hoping the cymbal would have some dryness like the sound in the product video, which sounds very dry and trashy, but it was nothing like that. Overall, Iâd say itâs well worth the price, but just not my cup of tea. Costs too much to ship it back for a refund from the US, so Iâll likely stack it on something to get closer to the sound I like.
Zildjian 19" A-Series Medium Thin Crash
Based on 3 reviews
I was looking for a cymbal that was a little brighter than my current Zildjian K and K Customs cymbals. This cymbal fits the bill perfectly, as its the Medium thin it is slightly darker than the normal Medium A cymbals but not too dark. Being a new A is it also slightly thinner than the earlier A cymbals as Zildjian redesigned the series recently with the original 70s thinner profiles. After purchasing this cymbal I've since gone on and bought a 20" to increase my range of sounds and colours within my kit. So to sum up, Great sounding cymbal, dark but with plenty of cut and very loud. Ideal :-)
Meinl 19" Classics Extreme Crash
Based on 1 reviews
I own this crash for almost 5 years, recorded, played shows and many many reahearsals and it's still like new. It's really heavy, what scares some sound engineers, but believe me, it sounds perfect on recordings. It cuts through any mix and it could even be used as a ride for a smaller set. Bear in mind, though, that it should be hit hard to produce its whole sound and it's sometimes difficult during fast parts, especially for people using lighter sticks (I use 2B). I recommend it for anyone who wants a nice loud sound that cuts through mix.
Istanbul Agop 19" Xist Crash Brilliant
Based on 1 reviews
The shipping was decent, it had it's own plastic bag, which you can use in the future, and it was well protected. The aesthetic quality of the cymbal was great, besides a few dents that are common in all cast bronze cymbals. The sound, i would say was a bit dissapointing for me, it was waaay too bright for my taste. It has the thin, papery sound that you know, but it also has a very glassy, bright overtone to it, which, to my taste, wasn't that good, because i wanted a darker, deeper cymbal. Overall the cymbal is good, it also has a nice, beautiful complexity to it, despite being simpler than other istanbul cymbals. Definitely worth the price, but the sound is unusual.
