Zultan 22" Dune Ride
Based on 3 reviews
Great cymbal for all styles of music, rock, pop, fusion. Great for crashing as well, I use it together with raw 18" crash. Dune is little bit sharper sound, raw crash warmer, shorter, Together sounds amazing. 22" is the right size for ride, because the smallest ones are to short and dry for ride cymbal. The first time I put on my new cymbal, my band singer asked me where is that nice sound coming from? that was from dune 22" ride, Never believed that singers can recognize cymbal sounds :)
Meinl 22" Byzance Foundry Reserve LR

I make no mistake when I say this; this ride cymbal is nothing short of perfection. Not only is it a beautifully made and presented cymbal, it has a unique and complex array of tones which vary each and every time you strike the cymbal. It has a precise, defined stick attack with a beautifully musical wash of dark undertones. The bell is crystal clear and cuts surprisingly well considering the very thin weight of the cymbal. When you crash it, it is not overpowering like some rides can be and the cymbal opens up nicely but gets out of the way in a short space of time. Overall, I can honestly say this is probably the best ride cymbal on the market right now; and most definitely the best that Meinl produces. If you are looking for a versatile, well-balanced ride cymbal that can work in any...
Zultan 22" Z-Series Ride

On receiving the cymbal the first thing that stuck me was how much more expensive it felt and looked compared to the price and the pictures. The play-ability of every part of the cymbal is exactly what I wanted. The tone, projection, definition all of it just works incredibly and getting volume some pro-activeness but not much effort. I've been using it as my sole ride for around 6 months and it still looks clean and fresh and sounds as clean as the first time. Looking forward to getting stuck into their new Dark Matter series for my crashes
Zildjian 22" K Constantinople Med. Ride

The only downside of this cymbal I have experienced so far is that it makes my other cymbals sound rather bland and without a character. It has a dry definition and the depth of the overtones are great. You can get a lot of different sounds using dynamics at various spots and it can provide a mellow underlying tone with lots of wash as well as cutting through with high definition attack. The 22'' Medium lettering on it was smudged halfway, but it's a minor detail and the rest of the craftsmanship is top notch. It's a dreamy cymbal and I can highly recommend it in all aspects.
Paiste 2002 Classic 22" Power Ride
Based on 1 reviews
I am a UK based drummer and owned an old 2002 ride back in the 80's. I play in New Wave and Ska bands so I needed a cymbal with power that could cut through. I was pleased to find the new 2002 range and decided to go with the 22" option. The bell sound cuts through really well, it has a rounded deep note but isn't harsh or tinny - a pleasure to hit. For a fuller sound a wash can be built easily but is still distinct with good body and warmth, a solid sound. If you are a hard hitter and need a cymbal that cuts but has warmth and body, I would certainly consider this cymbal very seriously. Cheers Ian
Meinl Pure Alloy 22" Medium Ride

This cymbal is unique among the pack and has a bit of a story for me. I was in desperate need of a new ride for an upcoming gig and didn't have one available at the time. I needed to walk out of there with a ride that day, but I wasn't ready to compromise. I must've played every ride in that room, finding myself disappointed by some specific element of every one I tried. Then I spotted this beast near the floor and I moved it to a stand to test it out. I knew within 10 hits that it would be the one. This is a monster ride with a soft and tender side. The bell cuts through everything like butter, the bow has a crispy yet warm demeanor, and the edge can create a huge, washy crash. This cymbal fits in everywhere from a sold-out arena to the corner of a jazz club. The bow has several sonic...
Sabian 22" HH Power Bell Ride
Based on 1 reviews
The Power Bell ride does exactly what it says. It has a massive bell that will cut through pretty much anything. When playing on the bow, the stick definition is very clear and defined. Perfect for heavier music, but works ok with softer styles of music as well. This is my main ride for all my metal and rock projects and will be for years to come. If played with thinner sticks + a sizzler, it can sound good for jazzy stuff, but be aware that this is a really loud cymbal and it will ring..a lot. Might not be suitable if you're playing very small rooms with no overheads or a good PA. Pro: defined and pingy sound. Heavy bell Con: Can be too loud for small venues/clubs.
Paiste 22" 900 Series Ride
Based on 1 reviews
In the live setting my Paiste PST5 20 rock ride works fine but noticed some un-musical overtones when recording. You can make inexpensive drums sound good, unfortunately not so with cymbals (or whatever you want to call them). looking for the Pro sound the 900 series price/performance ratio is too good too miss. The ping is defined the bell loud and clean with the wash just amazing. It really is in and of itself a fine instrument. When they become available buy before stock runs out! They really are that good.
Meinl 22" Classics Custom Pow. Ride

I'm using this ride for more than 4 years of hard hitting and it's still in great shape. It clearly cuts through mix, the bell is really powerful and even if you hit it hard with the body of your sticks, it rings nicely without much unwanted noise. I play punk rock and I've used it for multiple recordings and gigs without any problem. Only con I could suggest is that it's not really made for crashing. I really recommend it for rock/punk/metal and also for anyone who wants a clear-cutting ride sound.
Zultan 22" Ride Dark Matter
Based on 5 reviews
I have nothing but praise for my recent purchase of a 22 inch Zultan Dark Ride Cymbal. It has a beautiful tone, not too dark but just enough and it cuts through with a nice sustain. The bell tone is superb also. Perfect for jazz. All my other cymbals are old Avedis Zildjians and it compares very well with those but at a fraction of the price. In fact it sounds very similar to K Zildjians. I can't list any cons because I can't find any, I would recommend anyone to try these cymbals, especially if on a budget, but even if not. I am very tempted to try the Hi Hats, perhaps next Christmas.
