Get these.

Do you want stereo image on a budget without dealing with crappy recordings? Get these. I have them plugged into a stereo tube preamp and they sound beautiful. They are not as sensitive, which makes them optimal for recording in your room, even if the room isn’t great sounding. I use them on my acoustic guitar and I am able to really crank the tubes on the preamp, where they start expressing a beautiful vintage character. I got good sounds from my acoustic guitar up to 6 inches (15cm), very versatile in their positioning.

If you are looking for high quality instrument recording, then you can choose sE8 small diaphragm condenser microphone, really g

Once when recording guitar, the guitarist used the sE8 microphone to record guitar, and then I connected to try, the effect is amazing! sE8 sensitivity and transparency won the other brands in my studio small diaphragm microphone, the gain of the microphone amplifier does not have to open too much, you can get a normal waveform. At the same time, the bottom noise is also very low, recording some high-frequency expressive instruments are particularly suitable.

Natural Sound

These are really impressive for the price. Used them with audient 880 preamps on upright piano, as stereo drum room mics (amazing there) and acoustic guitars. Very happy user. Only thing, sensitivity it is not 100% matched so I just adjust the gains

nearly perfect for drums OH, nice for Hihat and acoustic guitars

I write "nearly" because i used B&K 4006 for many, many years as Overheads... And i frequently tried other good mics, just to check if there is something "better"... And now after some weeks i got back to my old B&K... but i must admit, it was only a matter of taste, and habituation. The B&K are omni, and very easy to handle. And now, i use the SE8 for Acoustic guitar when i want a very smooth sound. And, for Hihats. I can only say that those SE8 are a no brainer for every recording studio, regarding the low budget price. I guess i will get another pair soon to be used also for life gigs as OH...

Very surprized

Love everything about these mics. They are small and first impressions on sound is very very good. You can find many A/B tests of SE8 and some more expensive gear online. SE8 Quality / Price ratio is outstanding.

It comes with very nice looking case, love it.
