Very good microphone

Natural sound, nice build quality (not better than sm58 but still good) and good price. As someone who doesn't really like the sound of the sm58, this is the 99$ alternative.

It’s going to change SM58

I am a live sound engineer for 6 years now, heard about se electronics and mostly not the best things, but needed a budget vocal mic to try. It is amazing, low end is full and not muddy, while the high-mids are not super expressed, I noticed I stopped cutting harsh frequencies and mostly use no eq at all. It is very directional (hyper i think but feels like even more so) almost no feedback even on high gain, i truly believe it will change the industry meta

The new Sm58

Extremely Robust and Reliable, Very crisp sounding capsule and tight range to isolate the vocal a lot better.

my only complaint about these is I haven't got more of them :)

This one is pretty cool. I like how warm it is. Great colours, solid design. Really like it.

My new go-to vocal mic

Since the first V7 I bought to test back in 2017, this has become my go-to vocal microphone and I've bought several more since then.

Nice balanced sound, amount of detail, supercardio pattern, good sensitivity, great feedback rejection - I especially like it for quieter singers.

I'm yet to see how resilient they are to various mishaps on the road but the overall design is giving me confidence.

So far I've had one V7 'die' from a big fall from the stage (clumsy stagehands) but I wouldn't expect many microphones to survive that.

When you consider all of the above at the price of 99€, this is definitely a gamechanger.

the eq on this mic is realy good. very natural, retaining the tone of the voice. feels strong and durable

Great Mic

Great quality mic, I'm super impressed with the sound and I say that having a Neuman KMS 105 as well. There's a nice feel and weight to it, feed back is well controlled and it has a lovely finish.

The bomb mic

For the price, you'd never realize how amazing this mic is. Effortless vocals and crisp sound. Love it.

Brilliant vocal mic

Was recommended this amp by a couple of pro sound engineers. They were right, it's absolutely fantastic, and the vocalists I've worked with all love these over every other mic they've used.

great value for money

built like a tank sounds clear and punchy and as far as i can hear no colouring to my voice , use it when I do not need my sennheiser radio mic so up against stiff competition

Good vocal microphone for a reasonable price

I've used this mic for a few months now as mostly as a streaming Mic with a Scarlett 2i2 and although it (like dynamic mics generally) needs quite a bit of gain (and needs to be close to your face), the very tight cardioid pattern means that it's very good at blocking out environmental noises which I needed since I tend to have Retro computers in the room with me with loud fans that I was having a very hard time filtering out with denoisers.

It also has pretty good range and overall I'm happy with the overall sound quality from it, even out of the box with no eq applied.

Superb mic, better than SM58. Will make your vocals shine!

I decided to try this mic, since I'd read good things about it online. I was looking for something with a brighter sound than the Shure SM58. The SE Electronics V7 does not disappoint. It really makes your vocals shine - they will cut through a mix extremely well, and it has a lot of output too without feeding back too easily.

It works great both live and for recording vocals in the studio too (you can use a pop stopper in front of it while recording). This mic is excellent value for money too. If you're looking for something that's better than the Shure SM58 for about the same price, this is the obvious choice!

Excelent mic for money!

Visualy, and technicaly super product. It has its own signature in sound. I use it for female vocals with high frequencies range.

Absolutely marvelous for it's price

The tittle says it all. I will definitely equip my studio with a couple more of those.

Not what I expected!

had vaguely heard of this brand. It was on the suggestion of a Sweetwater representative that I order these mics. Our next concert we tried the mics. I was totally blown away! The clarity was supurb, the sound was spot on! After using other top name mics for years, this was by far the best sounding mic I have ever used! Thanks Sweetwater!

A great Microphone for quiet singers

I bought this microphone because I am not a particularly loud singer and it was highly recommended. I was not disappointed!

Pros: It's solidly built. Wind/pop filter is internal (and it comes with an extra). It seems to be a little more sensitive than the SM58 it replaced, so if you're not a belter you can still be heard. Its hyper-cardioid pattern makes it less prone to feedback. The price is quite reasonable.

Cons: Because of the hyper-cardioid pattern, you have to sing directly into it; if you're off access even slightly your volume drops considerably. This isn't a necessarily a problem - in fact, it's the whole POINT of the hyper-cardioid - but it's something you need to be aware of, especially if you play an instrument while singing or have a tendency to move around a lot.

As for the sound - I'm not a sound snob or a professional engineer so I'm not qualified (or interested) to make comments about frequency response, "sparking highs" and other such nonsense. When I sing into it, it sounds like me (but louder).

Overall, I'm really happy with it and recommend it highly.

Better than SM58

I was amazed when compared Shure sm58 and V7

There is much more high frequencies on the V7, which makes the vocal crisp and bright. Also easier to mix in post.

Also very comfortable in hand and great design.

5 stars for sure.

Feels really solid

Got this a few months ago and have been using it in practice and to record some demo vocals at home. Microphone sounds great and has a nice top end for a dynamic. Supercardioid polar pattern is great for live use.

Better than a sm58

Bought it out of curiosity. The frequency response is quite pleasing, for my voice I just need to dip a little bit of 2k, other than that it is quite balanced and natural sounding plus it feels solid

It's perfect for my voice but your results will vary (male vocals with a low register)

I won't be able to review how well the pickup pattern is in a live situation as of yet but I've managed to get it pretty loud with my monitors at home (for testing purposes) it seems pretty tight and hopefully in a few months I'll be able to crank it

Mainly bought for messing about with recording in my (untreated) bedroom, the SM7b is out of my budget/skill level

I've used the SM58, e845 and e945, and their wireless equivalents quite regularly; I really dislike the 58, and sometimes the sennheisers can be quite bright for some vocals, I still think if I had the choice again I'd go for the V7 compared to these for my own use as it matches my voice quite well

Haven't had the chance to try it on others yet but I'm sure the results will be great
