Sequential Prophet REV2-8 Reviews

The raw sound is not as good as a Prophet 6 (I used to own one), but it's still an amazingly versatile synth. If you want a workhorse oriented for actual keyboard players, get this. It's amazing!

Not as good as you expect

I will be short. It is poorly built for such price. It became boring after 1 week as it is more limited then i expected. Sound quality is very good , bright and noiseless. However the 'Shaping' of the oscillators is a joke , the Triangle does not morph as expected instead the shaper just adds a simple square wave on top of it. Very dissapointed and sent it back.

My First analogue Synth

Am lost for words.. I had to take the time to get my very first analogue Synth. two option came to my mind but very tricky one cos one had the mojo and the balls but the other one had the best ball. It took me almost a year to either go moog or a synth that can do it all from pad Lead base you name it, i wanted to get it right this and I did after i received My Rev 2. All I can say is that I am very satisfied with what came out of it. up till now my girl friend is beating me over spending too much time on exploring the synth all I could tell her is was this did not come in to take your spot but its here to stay. Amazing synth from sound quality to effect and the addition of that 4 pole thing, the slots, i don't even know where to start, Five star all the way.

The best purchase of the year

After owning a Prophet 08 for several years, I knew what were the things that in my opinion could be improved. With the Prophet REV 2 they have surpassed those needs and expectations.

The physical build is awesome, every part of it feels way robust and thicker than the previous one. The screen, the keyboard and the knobs are clearly better.

The sound is still wonderful as usual, and now better than ever with the addition of new features: polyphonic sequencer, effects, sub-oscillator, convenient and quick way to assign destinations in the modulation, etc.

I am 100% satisfied.
