Good price vs. quality relation

I don't have any comparison with other professional in-ear headphones but after using them for a hole summer of shows i'm very pleased with them. They don't fall from my ear witch was one of the features that I was more worried about. The sound is quite good and they have a very decent head room. For the price I think it's quite a good choice.

Pretty good

Noise isolation is just ok, you (probably) won't go deaf when rehearsing or playing shows with these but you're by no means completely isolated from room noise. They sound good, I like to use them for general listening purposes in high-noise situations as well. The capsule's fit over your ear is ok and the cord can be tightened to better fix them in place. No 3.5mm to 6.3mm adapter is included for those plugging into interfaces and mixers etc, you'll have to buy one separately.

Fantastic in ear monitors for this price! Perfect when you are a drummer, because noise-cancelling is just that good it protects your ears. Everyone who wants good in-ear monitors or headphones, buy Shure SE215-K.

Good impression

These are relatively inexpensive headphones. Good sound quality and quite loud. I play the drums, so for me it's important.

There are six additional earmolds, three rubber and three foam ones. And also there is a storage box.

The wires can be disconnected and replaced if necessary.

I do not recommend taking transparent wires, as they quickly get dirty and start to look bad. Therefore, if color is not important to you, it is better to take black.

Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

Industry standard

They cancel noise very well

They reproduce sound excellently

They stay in fairly well - but be warned if you sing, smile or laugh, they'll come loose.

Amazing

Initially only bought these for on stage as monitors, but I ended up using them for any time I want to listen to music.

Unparalleled isolation with good over all sound. Maybe slightly too bassy, but this is a very minor issue.

The construction is great. The cable is long enough for most musical situations without being too long. Plenty of options for ear bud types and sizes.

Initially struggled to remove the foam tips but Shure have a Hot-to vid on their website which was very helpful.

Amazing for the price

Even if they are the cheapest Shure IEMs, they are still really really good.

The in-ear fit may not be for everyone, though. Very tiny ears might find them uncomfortable.

When using the memory foam tips, the isolation is the best I've ever experienced.

They sound clear and detailed.

They don't have extra bass like a lot of other IEMs.

The highs are a bit harsh out-of-the-box, but after some burn in they mellow down enough.

Better Headphones than IEM

I need IEM for a band I'm in, these where my first pair I got and they will certainly do the job BUT if you want amazing sound you will have to spend more money.

I've had them over a year and no real problems with them, they will last a long time once you look after them. I also love the case that comes with them makes caring them to and from gigs very handy.

I started using them as headphones as I've upgraded and there great for that! especially if you use them while jogging or at the gym, as they are very secure in your ears.

So far so good

I can't wear this earphones for more than 2/3 hours in a row (which is anyway an extensive time) and the environmental noise cancellation isn't total. Besides this, I find them very good and I like the quality of the sound, balanced and clear.

Partly excellent, spoiled by flaws

I'll describe the positive points first. These IEMs have exceptionally good build quality, with a thick cable that feels very sturdy and well made housings. The noise cancelling is likewise outstanding, particularly with the foam tips. The selection of accessories is excellent, with a range of tips and a sturdy soft-shell case.

Unfortunately, the product is compromised by two major flaws.

Firstly, the sound simply isn't what I'd consider acceptable for monitoring purposes. The bass is significantly boosted, bringing with it a resonant muddiness throughout the bass and lower mids. There is a real lack of clarity in the lower octaves, with sharp transients blurring into a boomy mess. Treble response rolls off significantly, giving a warm but slightly boxy character with a lack of air and presence.

Secondly, I just couldn't get a comfortable fit, for several reasons. The large housings were too big for my ears, with a sharp edge pressing into my outer ear. The angle of the nozzle compounded this issue. The memory metal sections of the cable do an excellent job of isolating cable noise, but interfered uncomfortably with the arms of my eyeglasses.

I don't wish to be too negative, as these IEMs may be a perfectly good choice for other users. The hyped sounic character may suit the preferences of some listeners who are less concerned with accuracy and detail. IEM fit is a personal matter, and what is painful for me may be perfectly comfortable for someone with larger or differently shaped ears.

Great in-ear monitors

Based on many great reviews, I decided to buy these for my in ear monitors whilst playing the drums. Great sound and they feel very well made. The cable is detachable so if it ever breaks you can simply replace it. They come in a nice little carry pouch. Great earphones for monitoring

Good headphones for sleeping

These headphones are quite good for sleeping, particularly if you sleep on your side. Other headphones are ok if you sleep on your back, but stick into your ear if you sleep on your side. These headphones are noticeable when you sleep on your side but not too bad. The sound quality is quite good and easy to listen to. The build quality seems pretty good, though I do wonder about the cable connection being a weak spot. Overall these are great headphones if you want in-ear headphones that are good for sleeping with. One thing that is missing compared to other headphones are in-line controls for e.g. your iPhone.

As expected - quality without compromise

I do not have tons of experience and fancy equipment, BUT I can say that with these earbuds I can hear things that i couldn't before with my other head/earphones. I made a comparison test of songs in 320-mp3 vs flac vs dts and recognized all of them. And that is even wothout DAC. So basicly I'm more than happy with the sound. They are little bit bassy and I like that. Noice-canceling is absolutely great with foam and surprisingly good with the others. Comfort is pretty good, there is no way for them to fall off the cable is long enough. Unfortunately my ear canals are tight like young maid and it's hard for me to wear them more than one hour even with the S size. I hope that it will get better in time or I'll try with the Shure EATFL1-6 earpads. Also the sound tunnel where you put earpads is plastic and I'm not sure how strong is that, looks pretty strong tho. But everything else is great and I'm absolutely satisfied with my purchase. You can be Shure ;)

Good quality headphones, great sound

I bought these headphones use as IEMs as an upgrade from a pair of 'noise cancelling' headphones that came with a phone. To say they were an upgrade from the phone headphones would be an understatement but that is to be expected. My main concern would be bass response as getting a good bass sound through IEM's is tricky but these sound great. The sound is full and fat, it doesn't sound farty or woofy. I'm very impressed with these. I was equally impressed with the highs - when my voice was coming through it didn't sound shrill or harsh, very present reproduction. The noise cancelling has been more than adequate to block out the sound of loud guitarist with valve amps blaring on stage.

The case provided is adequate - Westone's come with a nicer small hardcase but at almost twice the price and to my ears the exact same sound (maybe a bit lighter on the bass with the Westone) it isn't worth the extra expense. Go Shure and keep the softcase somewhere safe and you will have no problems.

Shure SE215-K

I came down from the 5 series, Im still going through the replacement buds to eliminate more of the ambient noise.

They lack a touch of low end compared to others, but again remember the price, the build quality is great though.

Great

Great quality headphones. Have had my pair for about 3 years. The cable does tend to weaken at the connector but should be fine if kept in the case.

Great selection of ear buds come with the product, both foam and plastic/synthetic.

The case is also useful and a good size.

Great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Great Sound at an affordable price

I bought these to use as IEMs on function gigs. I normally play 2x1hour sets so needed something comfortable with a decent sound that doesn't break the bank.

It took a bit of experimenting and manipulation of the over the ear cable to get these to fit comfortably. After a couple of tries and home use I've found these to be reasonably comfortable and great sounding. I'm a bass player and while I could get a better sound from a more expensive set of IEMs, these do the job perfectly well.

Noise cancelling is great, Fit is fine and the sound is better than I expected at this price.

I'd highly recommend these if you're gigging musician on a budget.

You can't go wrong with these! For less than €100 these really are superb.

I've had two pairs in the last 6 years (first pair were stolen)

I was delighted with the second pair which is an updated design with a wire sleeve on the over-ear segment of cable that can be bent to suit the ear and keep the earpiece firmly positioned.

I use these for IEM 2-3 shows a week and in the studio for tracking drums and find them great.

I use them with a Mackie 402 VLZ3, my Vocal Mic on an independent split into ch 1 and an Aux Mix from Main Desk into ch 2.

This combi gives me very portable IEM in a hurry at any show.

Nice deep low-end and clear mids, good comfortable high freq for 2-3hrs exposure that requires a boost if you want that super hifi top end.

Couldn't do without them!

Quality sound with budget !

After testing many in-ear phones in this price category I finally found a good counterpart for my money.

The sound quality is great for this price category. I really like a warm kind of flat sound with a decent bass response. The bass response could be better but hey, it's less than a hundred euros so what can you expect from a single driver earphone. No irritating frequencies stick out and no frequencies are lost. Of course when volume is turned way up the sound does distort a bit but does anyone actually listen to music with volume on maxium...

They are a bit uncomfortable in a long run and don't stay in the ear as I would like. I have to fix their position pretty much all the time. The cable is also a bit short for an iPod use but for monitor set-up it's great. It's not too long and it reaches the belt pack just fine.

The cable itself isn't very durable. I have my third cable at the moment in two years. It usually breaks from the ends. The iron wire stuck out from both wires close to ear so I had to put some heat shrink to cover them up and it worked fine but it's still a minor problem.

If you want good quality sound for low budget you should definetly look into these phones, but if you want also durability Shure isn't your choice.
