Probably the best drummer you can fit in your pocket

Not cheap but sounds organic like a drum kit and never misses a beat :-)

The Best.

There is no extra word to say about this product. It is the only product that always receives updates and has complete features inside the drum machines.

It has improved itself tremendously with new updates. If you want a drummer, here is Beatbuddy.

Just love It

For what i needed it, it does the job perfectly. But there is more in it, you want to.

A good programable drum machine, if you're willing to take time to explore it.

Easy to use. I like the pop drums.

Very easy to use. sound quality is great. However, I downloaded some free drum library online, it doesn't work.

Incredible drummer

sounds of quality and easy to manipulate and navigate through the menus. All as expected and way better than any other beat machine. My only "would like" is for it to be able to run with batteries.

I used to play with some drum machine tracks but they never sounded like the real thing so I decided to get the BeatBuddy; no regrets!

Excellent sound, the build quality is solid.

Beat Buddy

Great product. Using it for backing rhythm with acousic guitar. Great sounds. Previous machine was Alesis SR18, which ceased to be after only 18 months! So happy I tried the beat buddy, it is far superior and has a great online backup and support group from Singular Sound. I use it on a microphone stand with the Beat Buddy dual pedal for the functions. I find this easier to navigate the machine itself. It is also great for silent practice since I can plug the guitar into the unit and use headphones to practice.

Handy practice and jamming tool

Great build and concept. The drums sound great and the addition of spontantious triggered fills are really great. It's easy to use and great for practicing and jamming with other people.

The best!

Upgrading my drum machine from Alesis sr18 to the beatbuddy. Wow! What a huge difference. The drum sounds are phenomenal, the drum patterns sound awesome (not quzntized!), many features and very easy to use. With the software (beatbuddy manager) you can change, arrange or make your own midi patterns. I bought the B.B. premium library memory card from the singular sound site and already have tons of songs!

Love my new buddy!

Use this for accompanying solo acoustic practice and performance. Is a great machine in its own right in terms of ease of use out of the box, range of drum kits and range of styles. Ability to upload tracks and assign a playlist order to kits is great but the real fun is in controlling the patterns, transitions and rolls/hits on the fly. Really responsive in this regard. A bonus i didn't anticipate is it has improved my own rhythmic and percussive playing as you seek to match the rolls and transitions. Are there cons - I think the outros are a little weak on some sets, but not a deal breaker, and the pause, intro, transition, outro cycling can be tricky if you're adrenaline is going (i.e. one tap, versus hold, versus double tap!)- so separate footswitch a bonus. (Note i had some issues with Lead FS-2 footswitch compatibility- but that is not a beatbuddy product/problem). All in all, very happy I picked one of these up!

Perfect sound!

I use it at home when I repeat, it sounds great, the sound is true drums.

It's a step ahead of the digital sound we used before, plus the 6 fillings that together with part1 / 2 that complements the accompaniment.

You can improvise yourself in front of the listeners and together with BeatBuddy you are 2 now on stage. I recomand,

As a two piece we needed a beat to our set. We researched a lot of other pedals and this one always came out on top. We used it at a live gig the other day and the sound was second to none - it was amazing. Extremely happy. The only con I would mention is that it can be a little confusing transferring midi files over but once you can comprehend that you're flying. Excellent pedal.

Not much I can say that hasn't been said a million times, if your thinking about getting one then just get it.....ultimate pedal!

So good..

This BeatBuddy pedal is just brilliant. I bought the footswitch and midi interface too. I play mainly solo gigs and use a Roland RC-300 looper and sync the Beatbuddy to the looper tempo. The drum sounds are really, really good. I have been gigging for 25 years and use/used other drum machines such as a the Boss DR 3, Alesis SR 16 etc etc and this BeatBuddy will take a lot to beat it ;-). The manager software is pretty easy to use and you can literally drag EZ drummer midi clips into the pedal as well. 5 out of 5. Very happy!

BeatBuddy

Drum machines have come a very long way over the years. I've done some research and this appeared to be the best available at the present time considering my requirements. 1. Real drum and cymbal sound samples - not synthetic and WITHOUT quantizing. 2. Ready to go instantly and without programming. 3. Small size for pedalboard, but self contained so it can be run through foldback monitors and PA. This thing is really amazing! It meets all my requirements and then blows me away with the other useful and practical features! No need to touch it except with my feet to use it. Exceptionally easy and intuitive to use - I'd never imagined a drum machine could be this easy. MIDI interface, so can be connected to a looper (as master or slave). Computer interface via USB cable if and when I do want to bother to customise sounds.

Best Electronic Drum I've tried

Bought the pedal to use in a soft rock/blues guitar & bass trio. Previously tried Alesis, Korg, and Digitech devices, but this one works best for me. To get the best out of it I use it with the 3-button footswitch, and run into a small PA with a sub-woofer. The latter is important if you want to get the thump of the kick drum even at low volume. I find the 3-button pedal essential for live use to scroll thru setlist & pause functions, it would be even better if it could control stop/start with a single hit.(that would also allow the BB unit to be kept within hands reach)

PROS:

Very good clear display (important when it's on the floor!)

Great realistic sound

Good rhythms

Easy hands-on control for quick change to tempo etc

CONS:

High price

Editing Software is difficult to manage, esp for Mac, but they are working to improve that I believe

Better integrated 3-fn pedal needed
