A must for your studio

I knew I had some issues with frequencies in my studio and used panelling wherever I could. We converted a room in our home, so there was only so much we could do physically.

After following the setup and calibration process, my mixes are night and day. The reference caught a massive increase in frequencies around 60Hz and I now have a flatter response.

100% must for any studio

Comfortable

It has its own number that you need to enter when working with the Sonarworks application for point correction. Amazing accuracy of portal and monitor settings.

SoundID Ref Measurement Micro

Directly changed the hearing and sound field of my mixes, except for the correct sound that can be heard in the studio, highly recommended! I like this microphone, and I am happy to use it for the first time, because it directly changes my sound field, so that I can hear the correct sound

The only one you need

Since this is an official Sonarworks product you can't go wrong with it. The microphone and the packaging are of the highest quality, would recommend.

The story is about idea of the measurement concept.

This story is about idea. Idea about Measurement concept. Of course, each studio monitors, each room acoustics are different. Probable you should measure it to get a best possible result. This measurement option is good, but it needs a lot of improvements.

I would say, that would be a great solution for music listeners and producers if this concept works without PC or Mac. If some hardware option, for example some small box with programmable profiles (2 profiles for headphones and 2 for studio monitors) could be placed behind the sound interface. Otherwise you should always switch profiles and drivers.

When I master music, I use 2 pairs of headphones and monitors. For example, when using the profile for first headphones, the other headphones or monitors are practically unusable. In fact, after all tests I turned it off. Currently I only use it in special situations.

Excellent results with a little work

This software does not negate the need for some room treatment at least in my case. My experience was also confounded by balancing in a sub woofer as well as measuring the mains. I'm using two Focal shape twins and a Focal Sub 6. My room is not perfectly treated but has some treatment including some bass traps. Deviations from 300hz to 20Khz were less than 3db. The major deviations were from 50hz to 100hz. One configuration when measured produced a 12db hump in the lower region. This software did not do well with taming that hump. Once I got the bottom end to within 6db of flat the software did a wonderful job of producing a very true sound in the room. The speakers and this software are all new and were installed at about the same time. The final result was a better, flatter sound than I have ever experienced in this room and is very trustworthy. I am hearing subtleties that I have never heard before and am going through old mixes making some real impactful changes. The room measurement and the VST plugin work perfectly which is what I needed most. I am working with support to get the APO working if possible. Regardless of the functioning of the APO, I gave this software 5 stars because using the VST in Cubase and Wavelab have made a significant positive change in my mixing and mastering abilities.
