Massive

Fantastic little snare. Sounds just like 90s jungle. Perfect!

Super Nice

This snare drum is small but sounds great and it's versatile too. It's good as a side snare or when gigging outside with a compact kit. The only thing is that you cannot really get a nice sidestick sound from it, something to consider when playing music that requires this sound.

Really cool and versatile snare

I chose this snare to complete a cajon drum set I use to carry around and to assemble in very narrow places. This met all my expectations and I am very happy to have found a snare suitable for every occasion (I use it to play pop, swing and bossa nova both with sticks and brushes). You can put it on a snare stand or buy the jungle snare holder to clamp it on the hihat stand (I chose this solution). You can also regulate the sound thanks to the handle which is very usefull but maybe also too big in front of the dimension of the snare. Very cool are the rattles on the side (they do not annoy while playing and give a pleasant sound to an otherwhise little snare).

Great sound and great value for money!

This snare has a unique sound and look. The overall sound from the head is snappy and crisp. For it's size it's also loud enough to still cut through loud cymbals and guitars etc. The built in tamborines not only look cool but aren't overpowering or too subtle. I used to own one years ago and used it as a side snare but regrettably sold it. After ordering myself a new one I have since rediscovered just how fun this snare is and how much I use it. It's very versatile and can be used for many different styles of music depending on how you tune it. It's well built and great value for money. If you're looking for a side snare without spending a fortune I would recommend this. An added bonus is it's size - it won't take up too much room in your car/van or on the stage.

amazing just wish it had better tuning capabilities

the snare sounds and feels amazing. only drawback is that one cant tune the reso and batter heads separately. one screw controls the tension of both heads.

apart from that awesome funky sound great for small acoustic gigs as a main snare and as a second snare for your kit

Great value for price for a secondary snar drum

I use this snare drum as a second snare drum for jazz and RnB songs where I need a more electronic or a samba/latin sound. It works for me perfectly for both (totally different) styles. If you add a splash on top of it then the electronic sound is just perfect. For the price you're paying, and if you need any of these sounds, it is a great product. Well constructed, great strong system to put on and off the snares.

The cons: It is obviously not a luxury snare drum (hence the price) but, since you're not using it mainly a snare drum (unless for street gigs, for that ok) the price is fair.

Sonor Jungle Snare

I find this a great little side snare although I know people who use it as a main snare on smaller kits. With the snares on it is very snappy and with them off it makes a cool timbale. I kept the skin very tight for a long time but the other day I loosened it and got a nice, warm and medium depth sound. I found that when using a tighter tension level, the snares were less noticeable. Its all about the high pitched, ringing rim shots with this snare. I prefer it as a side snare as I don't find it deep enough for the music I like to play. Overall a lot of fun and great value for money

Sonor 10" great extra snare

This is a great and well made drum. It has been well thought out in it's design and packs a real snappy punch. I use it with a small multi-drum set up in a parade band and it's small, light weight nature is perfect.
