Soundcraft Signature 16
16 Channel Mixer

Signature 16
I needed an analog mixer to use with my sound reinforcement system, for controlling a dj consolle, some mics and some instruments during live music events. I'm pleased with the performance of this 16ch Signature, it has good sound and headroom, eq's are effective and precise, split mids with selectable frequency are a nice feature. Lexicon effects are a very nice plus on this mixer, and if not used the fx send could be used as a 4th aux send. The only thing that left me puzzled while choosing this mixer, is the fact they didn't make a MTK version of the 16ch..
Easy Mixer
Good easy mixer great sounds and effects
Cracking desk for the money
This is another Soundcraft excellent desk. definitely the best functionality for the money and it's rack mountable - and includes the ears! Great sound and nicely laid out. the only thing I would say is to have separate LED light for each PFL on each channel but bar that you cannot go wrong with this desk
Un mixer analog usor de folosit
Eq foarte ok. Preamp-uri bune! Un sound bun, intr-o consola foarte intuitiva!
Excelent!
There's no need to say too much because Soundcraft's preamps are legendary so I'll keep it breefly - you can't get that much for that price in a single package! Period! None of the mixers from competition brands offers 4 band EQ, none of them offers 100 mm faders, none of them use dbx limiter or Lexicon effecs. And all the other 16 channel mixers from popular brands are quite more expensive than the Soundcraft Signature line. That's a score!
p.s. The only downside - there's no USB cable in the box. A simple cable! Really, Soundcraft, really?!
Soundcraft never lets your down
Having used smaller soundcraft desks over the years and being so pleased with there builds I was never going to stray away from them. The Soundcraft Signature 16 did not disappoint either.
the layout and mapping of this desk is so easy on the eye. Everything is simple to see and your not lost in a world of knobs and faders. All the buttons are highly accessible and not too close together, a pet hate of mine, and the faders are nice and long, which to me gives your more control.
have the inputs at the head of the desk was a huge thumbs up for me, as often the remain at the back and as i was putting this desk into a tilt rail its was vital to have the inputs where they are.
I wasn't overly keen on the effect, i thought more detail could have been added and fair more variation. but i does still remain effective and i think the position of the IEC could have been made more efficient as i do fear of it falling out. So i have bought i locking IEC to rectify that.
Something i would suggest if purchasing.
I would say this desk is great value for money in what it can do and will soon be purchasing another.
nice desk with effects
iv only had this a while but already i love it.
long sliders are great and smooth.
the effects are ok could be better for live work i think.
but as i said im still learning.
i got this mainly for the 4 aux sends as most only have 2 and 1 fx this has 3 and 1 fx
the overall quality is good tho i did think a soundcraft desk would be better the knobs kind of move a little from side to side when you turn them feels a little flimsy and cheap compared to other desks i own.
i would recommend this desk it has great features for the money and plenty of routing that should keep most people happy.
Easy layout - great desk!
Bought this to replace our old Soundcraft which we use in a live acoustic music venue so it's on every single night!
The controls on this desk are well spaced for easy access, great visibility with coloured backgrounds. Love the built in Lexicon effects too. Faders are nice and smooth,
Perfect EQ, our vocals and acoustic guitars sound better than they ever did.
Excellent choise!
its a very powerfull mixing desk. very easy to use. excellent quality.
Effect lets this beauty down
This desk is beautifully laid out and each channel strip is well balanced with easy to access knobs and faders. However I struggle to find a nice Eq for my semi acoustic and have to resort to my boss ge 7 eq pedal.in order to fatten up the middle and.low ends. The effects I find are very disappointing and I struggle to find a simple reverb whic is all.I require from these so called Award winning Lexicon effects. I believe I will have to insert an external effects unit to have this simple reverb sound and would have rathered the desk cake without these so aclled effects and remained pure analogue
