Squier CV 70s Tele DLX MN OWT Reviews
Great axe!
Great guitar for the money, and I just really love how this guitar looks, feels and sounds. I love every aspect of it.
First off, I just want to point out that i have not done any mods or adjustments after i unboxed it. It doesn’t really need to either. I think it all comes down to preference. For me, the action was a little high, but that’s just a quick fix.
The paint job on this was flawless. Absolutely stunning. No scratches or bad spots. An absolute artwork of an instrument.
When it comes to the pickups, that’s the part I’m the most impressed by. The paint job being acceptable is something i take for granted when buying an instrument like this, however, the pickups could be a real hit or miss. These are probably the best pickups i have ever heard on a guitar at this price. They sound HUGE. They do not sound cheap or bad at all, and of course, they look sick.
The fretwork was acceptable. Not flawless, but alright. It might have to do with the cold temperatures and stuff, but i am not sure. Not a big deal neither way. They just need some polishing. Fret ends look nice, haven’t cut myself yet, so that’s a good sign.
I am planning on installing coil split for the humbuckers, although i am not quite sure you can split wide-range buckers. This is totally optional, it was just me wanting more versatility.
Overall, great instrument. Could’ve changed the logo on the headstock to Fender and i wouldn’t know. Awesome stuff.
Really nice for the money
Caveat, I'm a new guy with maybe a year of experience.
Got this since I had the 60ties CV strat which I like a lot.
This feels very close to this, same fretboard almost. But it has humbuckers which is what I wanted. Also has the belly cut that traditional Teles don't have which is also nice.
Great sound overall, the action was/is higher than my strat but after a setup from my local guy and news trings it plays very well.
Incredible value for the money.
Very good guitar, very soft play!
A very nice deluxe tele.
Pros - Sound fit and finish are actually really good feels great in the hand to play
cons- Nit picking but tuners are only Ok and it doesnt say Fender .. thats it great guitar
Great guitar
It's my first electric guitar, although I play the acoustic for a long time. So I can't make any comparison. But to my eyes, and ears, it's worth the price. Sounds great and looks beautiful.
