Squier SA-105CE BK Reviews
Acceptable(no more than that) quality for good price
Sound for unplugged & plugged in is quite good. But build quality for neck, fretboard is below average.
Required quite some adjustments before could be played.
Great Acoustic
Sounds great and good quality for the price
Good for starting
I had a cheaper guitar for over a year now and I really liked playing guitar but I couldn't for the life of me play any songs because I could never get the notes to sound right or I could never play the f chord and with this guitar I can easily play the f chord whenever I need. Its been a total change
Best guitar for the price
I took it for my first acoustic guitar ,I was not impresive when I unboxed because the smell was like a toy but I didn't expect more than that for that price. When I played it for the first time ,It was great with a soft sound something that I like at an acoustic guitar. For a beginner is a very good instrument,I prefer you to spend just a bit amount of money more to take something better with a better feeling when you play.
well happy, nice sounding guitar
Not really ideal
Rather invest a bit more and get a better guitar. The tuning keys on this one have been pretty crappy since a few weeks after it arrived, only to get progressively worse.
The sounds is alright. Can't expect much from a low end guitar. But this could have been certainly better than what it is.
overall good guitar but....
Bought this guitar as I wanted an acoustic for my collection. The finish was more or less what I expected. however there were spots on the fretboard with either lacquer or wood glue... moreover the bridge is so high that it makes the guitar quite unplayable unless you file it down... The electronics were good and the tuner is adequately precise.
Perfect guitar value
A great guitar, for the price is has a professional action and extremely easy to play. It's perfect for a starter guitar but experienced guitarists will be amazed at how well it plays. It sounds full bodied and all rounded (though possibly more suited for folk/country) all in all though a great guitar can't fault it!
The nice one!!!!
I have had this for around a year now, I think. I would consider myself as a decent guitar player. I wanted to buy a cheap acoustic guitar because I was broke & just wanted to play some music. This guitar has definitely lived up to every expectation of mine. It has a really sweet tone & is really easy to play. First I thought this could be used for a fire place, but no way:-). It has a built in tuner just in front of your eyes witch help a lot. Also the equalizer gives you some powered frequencies witch aloud to play with most of amp systems with a great sound. Very happy with this buy, it was Definitely good value for money!!!!!
Okay for the cost
Guitar itself is ok, but a few details let it down for me. The dark colour on the fretboard began to wear / flake off revealing a much paler colour underneath - obviously this happened more often on the most used frets - doesnt effect the way it sounds but looks scruffy and unattractive. The on board tuner has no automatic timed cut out, so its not unusual to find you forgot to turn it off and find the battery drained next time you pick it up.
Best Value
Cheap price, awesome sound, nice feel, serious value for money, highly recommended
Great starter guitar
Really impressed with the build quality and features for this guitar. I'd totally recommend it for either a beginner or for an experienced player looking for an affordable electric acoustic guitar.
Really good guitar for it's price.
I've tried a lot of different brands that made their acoustic for the same price category as this one, and this Squier is the best, no doubt.
Really good sound, plugged or not (even thou the high strings seems to be louder than low strings when plugged, which is a disadvantage for any guitar at that price, in my opinion). When unplugged, the sound tone is very bright and rich, personally I really like it.
I really liked the wood quality, the finish is amazingly good, the wood is soft and smooth. The guitar is very lightweight and for my hand the body shape is very comfortable.
They came with a really good string on them (which was a big surprise), with the battery for the tuner and with all the instructions, of course. Can't say anything bad about this guitar, I'm happy to have it.
fender squier
this guitar features a lot of good quality hardware and build. It was my second acoustic guitar and I love. Also fisherman did a great job on the pickups for the electric part
Good beginners guitar
I purchased this guitar for my younger nephew who has been playing for about 2 years. I did a test of the guitar before i gave it to him..This is what i found....
On first inspection the guitar looks pretty good out of the box. It has a plastic bridge, laminated spruce top, plastic pins, chrome tuners and ebony fretboard. Large single cut-away on the guitar and Fishman electro acoustic panel and pickups. It came with a gig bag, tools and it may have come with a cable too.
The tone of the guitar is quite full and pretty warm. I changed the strings to some Martins as i prefer those, but the factory ones were fine. I used through a p.a, and i found this to be it's best ampiflication mode. Through a small amp it sounded thin, tinny, and scratchy, but all electro acoustics do in my opinion, not just this one.
The action was okay. I found that as an experienced player i could get around the guitar without too much hassle.
The finish of the guitar was okay. Some money saved with plastic pins, and bridge, but I cannot remember anything bad, or out of the ordinary concerning this guitar.....
I would say if you're a pro, semi pro, or pretty experinced you won't be looking at buying this guitar, as we know it won't meet our needs. Like a lot of things in life you get what you pay for. But as a learner, or someone pretty new to the game a guitar like this could be right up their street. You have to research, try some out in shops, and then take a chance on something....That's life.......
At time of writing the guitar is £80 United Kingdom Sterling. I think that's not bad value, a kid could learn whilst using it, take it to school, practices etc......And an adult beginner could start with something like this also.........
Fender squier sa105cebk bundle
I bought this guitar to use while in the UK for 3months as I did not want to ship my more expensive instruments back for a short period .
On receipt of the squire I was pleasantly surprised the quality of the guitar was good for the price ,straight out of the box it played really well ,the bundle contained tuner, picks, lead and a case .I ordered a strap and two slides in with my purchase .All products were excellent and the delivery first rate.
I have since lowered the action and replaced the original strings with Martin 10's
It now plays even better and sounds great I have recorded 3 songs with it that have had good reviews on several websites .
In retrospect and had I seen it in a shop I would have probably chosen a natural finish as opposed to the black one but that's just hind sight .
The Fender squire is a great guitar and highly recommended .
Graham Windle GB Blues Band Crete
amazing
very fast shiping and good product. i will buy again, thanks alot.
Very good guitar for good money
Very good sound, compare with fender models as t-bucket for example. I think a sound is the same for less money and the 6 string sounds better.
Good acoustic, but slight problem with the mic
I bought this guitar mainly for playing at parties, where I'm not afraid to lend to other drunk friends so they can sing a few songs.
Features:
This guitar has a tuner built into it, which is a nice touch for such a cheap guitar. It can be plugged into a desk or amp and has a built in EQ to help fix the sound.
Sound:
This guitar is good for busking. Acoustically, it sounds decent and quite loud for the price. The biggest problem is it's mic, which picks up the higher strings a lot louder than the lower E and A strings, which makes it quite useless for gigging with when you need to do some solos on it.
Quality:
It has a good black finish to it, and definitely looks the part. The tuners are decent too, smooth with no hiccups in the turning mechanism.
For the price it's a good guitar. If you are playing for bigger stages and want to sound your best, I would look elsewhere, but for small parties and general practice this guitar is very nice.
Good entry level guitar
This has a good sound - not incredible - but pleasing.
It is light and easy to use.
Built in tuner is very helpful.
Only drawback is the fiddly battery holder. I've had to tape it shut.
Happy to recommend this.
