SSL 2+ Reviews
Can't ask more, just great!!
After years using DJ mixer having a breakdown. Opt for this interface to have a little various workflow. The truth is that the learning curve is instantaneous, and its functionality is great. It is well built, everything has a very quality feel. At the moment I really have no any complaints, only time will tell. It really seems aesthetically very pretty and neat, and very practical to me like they asked me how would I like the interface should look like. Would buy again!
Excelent
Just updated from the Focusrite 4i4 3rd gen. the sound quality greatly improved both on headphones and monitors. My latency got better in ableton right out the box. It's clearly superior in this price range. Strongly recommend it. Cheers
Great usb interface
Plug and play , really good solid bit of kit
Started having problems after 6 months of (almost) flawless use...
After 6 months of use the 4K switch on channel 1 started having issues to turn off. Now the red light on it just does not shut down anymore, it being pressed or not. Then I started having driver issues where it started connecting and disconnecting all day before I found any type of solution. Now the phantom power of channel 2 is having bad contact... And I barely use channel 2... Contacting SSL to see what they can do.
What an amazing sound
I never excpected to have such a quality sound in this small cute super tool.
Latency is not an issue at all.
Very happy customer
With the MacBook M1 Max chip, some glitches. May be only my case.
This is a great interface and all the good is there of course. The 4k switch is great and the handling is nice too. I have experienced a very weird issue in my case where, once you plug in the sound card, it sometimes makes all the sounds down 1/8th of pitch and 1/8 slowed down. It's a weird glitch that resolves if I unplug and plug in a couple of times. Just be aware if you're using a MacBook with M1 Max, you may experience the same issues and it's just a tiny bit that makes this product feel less reliable than others.
love it!
As much I have loved this ssl audio interface that I have near 2 years, but I found also some disadvantages. Type C cable is not stable which is dangerous, a wrong move could destroy it. Also the buttons of ph. power, line, and Hi-Z don't work great, like the quality of them. You push it to enable it but it does not always enable the setting and u should move it a little. Something else I noticed is for 300 Euros mic, it's unacceptable to not support 250-ohm headphones. This interface has a 10 ohm interface, which couldn't believe when I found it! Otherwise, great sound, great feedback, great features, nice build, just another gold SLL machine with its disadvantages.
4K sounds amazing
This was self-explanatory enough for me to start using without reading the manual. A trust-inducing build quality if anything. Playing my Epiphone Les Paul Customer through this into Ableton, the 4K sounds soooo satisfying. And the interface looks awesome on my desk! Super nice colours and the large monitor level knob is a killer.

is a professional-level audio interface that delivers exceptional sound quality and versatile connectivity options. With two pristine SSL-designed microphone preamps, four line inputs, and four outputs, the SSL 2+ is ideal for recording vocals, instruments, and other audio sources with great clarity and detail. The interface also features MIDI connectivity and a high-performance headphone output with independent volume control. Overall, the SSL 2+ is an excellent choice for musicians, producers, and audio professionals who demand high-quality sound and flexible connectivity.
Great product, great service!
This interface is a workhorse, its reliable and good quality. If you're looking for something simple to use at home or on the go, this interface is great!
One of the best entry-level audio interfaces
At this price point, there are no contenders, I think; perhaps only the new line of low-budget Universal Audio interfaces could be put in the same basket, with comparable quality, reliable operation, and cool sound. This is the best entry-level interface on the market, I would dare to say.
one of the best in its segment
One of the best budget sound cards. Far from Apollo, of course, but for its cost it is quite competitive
ssl2+
what a great soundcard, well built, great sound control
Very Good
One of the best interfaces in the world
What else to say
It's Solid State Logic. For reasonable price for mortals.
Sound is grate! There is 4K button, which is warmer sound, like SSL Mixer 4000. No regrets about this product.
Clarity and Warmth!
Whilst looking for an audio interface, I stumbled upon the ssl line. I Did a little research, and decided to pull the trigger on it. When I received it I was delighted, it’s beautiful, feels incredibly robust and is very well made. That and all of the free software and plug ins is a great start to home recording. The 4k button is magic, and my only complaint is a very slight latency issue.
Great budget interface!
The knobs are sturdy. Love the 4k button which enhances harmonic distortion smoothly! Will give a 5 star rating for features if it has loopback function but it might not be that important to some users.
Anyway, great interface!
Underrated high quality interface
First off the price for this thing is insanely good considering who you're buying it from, I am more than impressed with the quality of the inputs, which have made my $100 mic sound almost as good as a $1000 mic, take that with a grain of salt but this thing has been life-changing, I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something a bit fancier than a Scarlett 2i2
Not a big fan of RCA connectors but, works well and the sound is really good.
Excellently built Audio Interface with decent Headphone Amplifiers
Neutrik Connectors, man!
The preamps sound good to me, lots of gain.
What really impressed me are the headphone amps, actually:
They have an impressive amount of power, enough to drive HE6XXs and DT1770 Pros easily to painfully loud levels.
I don't like the "Legacy 4K" stuff though. It adds more distortion and does nothing software can't do. I don't recommend using it. If there was a variant without the "Legacy 4K" stuff, I'd buy it instead.
