Stairville DMX-Master I Reviews
Really good, once you work it out!
Came in a bundle. We already had a controller but this was bundled so we got it anyway and planned to re-sell it. However, it is better than our Light Operator 24 so we have kept the Master! It is smaller but can control 12 different units (actually, more than that because we set up some on the same DMX start code) The instructions are not great if you are new to DMX but once you get each unit set up on a correct DMX code (001, 017, 033, 049 etc) you will be flying. It takes ages to program but I can't see how they could improve that unless there was a PC software tool to download programs on MIDI etc. Conclusion: Don't use Sound-to-light, get one of these!!
A very versatile controller
I have used this controller for many gigs and the ease of programming and setup makes it ideal for those 'quick' setups we often find ourselves doing. I currently use this controller for my live band, linked by midi to my guitar pedal I can change scenes when I change guitar sound!
nice DMX
THE BEST SOLUTION FOR SMALL LIGHT SHOWS, I have the Dmx controller now for over an year, use it with2/4/8 Moving Heads. It's a reliabla dmx, the only thing you should care about it's the power adaptor it's a litle fragile when it comes to protection sockets. It also has rack mount option. Easy to use.
Great control panel!
For shows this is the tool for the job, easy enough to program once you learn the coding, great for mobile use easy to pack in to your gig bag on the road.
Does the job
Got it as part of a LED light package. Instruction manual not the best but great features that I'm finding through trial and error. Light and easy to carry yet feels robust.
