Problem with inputs

Great little dmx recorder, a little odd procedure to start and stop recordings, could sorely use a stop button rather than just a play pause. Had a major issue with dmx inputs though. I bought two of these, specifically to play on one, while recording on the other, layering more live mixing , using a lighting desk, one layer of action at a time. This will never play dmx, if there is a dmx signal going into the device, meaning, you can’t press play, if it’s plugged into a lighting desk, this is a huge issue, and a massive design flaw, that really makes these units needlessly complicated to record in. Also the record procedure, needs to be more intuitive / idiot proof, I found the manual essential to make it work, and needs to be able to merge dmx signals internally, this is a troublesome failing.
