Stairville Hz-200 Compact Hazer DMX 5-stars Reviews
its good
pros, very good quality, does not turn off if you push it too much
the yellow button auto timer its so helpfull you just find the settings after 1 gig and boom... you dont have anything to worry... creates enough haze , the fan has great power but a bit noisy,(dont mind if you play loud)
cons...
the recomended liquid gives me sorethroat , it makes my throat dry, you can have dry throat that leads to voice cracks when u sing... some times the next day of the gig i feel sick ...
Hazer
Built very well, not too noisy for gigs, can get a good control over the ammout of haze. Low power consumption.
This hazer works every weekend for several hours and no problems for now. Perfect bang for the buck.
Compact and Efficient
Had this for 6 months now. Really happy with it. Doesn’t guzzle haze fluid. Not too loud. Throws out the haze really well. We’d been transporting it in the original box for a while but I had a moment of genius. If you remove the three turn screws that hold the brackets, the whole thing fits inside one of those aluminium vinyl/record cases (the ones that hold 50). Fits like a glove.
It works well in line with price level.
Great haze machine, well worth it
Bought this hazer to have for parties in our large shed. It is a great piece of kit. Normally runs on the timer for about 5-7 hours each time we have a party.
Pros:
- It seems to be pretty economical on the fluid (Stairville PHF Pro Haze Fluid 5 ltr. is the one I use).
- Have used it 4 or 5 times now and not had any issues with it at all
- The haze is very light, the perfect amount for highlighting and accentuating the lighting we have. But doesn't really affect visibility at all
- The ability to adjust the vertical direction on the output head is great
- The ability to adjust the fan speed from off - gale-force wind is another super benefit which helps when adapting this fixture for a small, medium or large sized indoor venue.
Cons:
The only thing that comes to mind is the controller, the output and timer amount has no value assigned to them, so you have to just blindly play about with them until you're happy with the result. I think we have it active for about 4-5 seconds every minute for the whole night, with the fan set to around half-speed. That seems to do the trick and after about 30 minutes of it being on the beams stay highlighted for the rest of the evening.
Brillant
I use this hazer in multiple venues I work in and use it in my touring/dry hire stock and is brill for the price. never let me down
surprising
I'm using this hazer for occasional indoor small parties (~30-100 ppl, 5x a year) at low output level - invisible haze to highlight beams. I'ts perfectly controllable without nasty stuff on floor or walls - just real continual haze effect to amplify the the low power led lights. I've not expecting such a difference from usual fog machines. It is capable to serve much bigger stages with very low liquid consumption. No mess with fire alarms anymore ;)
very good and reliable product, for smaller action super.
Best solution
we don't even use the old smoke machines at private parties
Great little hazer
Uses very little fluid, even at full, and outputs a steady light haze. Exactly what you'd expect.
Amazing hazer for the money
What more can you expect from a hazer fo this price? It belts out haze in a well controlled manner. The control is simple and effective. I bought two for a club venue and hardly ever use the second as one has more than enough output. A great purchase and I will be using them on many jobs to come!
fan broke but great service from seller.
This does what it says on the tin, I'm happy :)
Hazer Power
Great product, it is amazing the amount of nice haze it puffs out. Happy with this item, will be using it mainly on film sets to create a misty mood.
Top of the top
One of my best purchases?....winner!!!
Great hazer
This is a very good and reliable hazer. I have the hz600 as well and to be honest I would rather have 2 of these and cover a larger area quicker for the same money.
The stairville haze fluid is awful. I use Lematre pro haze fluid with it and the coverage and haze quality is amazing
Great Hazer
Great haze output easily fills medium sized venues
Pros
Low haze useage
Good quality haze
Cons
Can be noisy if running at full
Takes some running time before parts begin to work more smoothly
Love it
Seems pretty decent so far.
Tested it yesterday during a 3h+ band rehearsal in a room of about 75m3 of stage space. I used it mostly faded on DMX mode.
It doesn't take long to warm-up. If you use it cued, however, expect a small delay between tracks.
It's a bit noisy but not as much as to be a problem while the band plays its calm parts. There was a repeated pulse-like knock while both dip-switched and remote controled but nothing other than the usual operating noise while faded.
The amount of haze is very satisfying. When on 100%, the effect you get is more fog-like at first but if faded, you get a very pretty haze that lingers on.
After about 2 hours of continuous use, I can't see the change on its fluid levels. It should last for a few shows, even if abused.
The box looks good and sturdy, like it could last for quite a few in and outs if treated properly in the hands of a touring band.
Considering its price and category, I think it's a good choice.
great product
gives a very good fog. Compact, lightweight. Ease of maintenance. Confidently closes the middle halls. Convenient adjustment of the evaporation height of fog. When using 2 units it can cover large halls. Easily managed DMX. Average fluid intake.
Amazing
small but terrible will cover all small and big venue very satisfied.
