Great effect when mounted vertically on lightning stands.

We have used the LED bars vertically mounted with straps on our lightning stands, one on each side of the DJ. Setting sound-controlled with "running lights". Creates a "disco"-like feeling. The output is good, in fact it can be to much in a small room. Can also be used to create nice slowly shifting colours on a backdrop. In short a flexible effect at a good price, recommended. Have not used it for more than a couple of months so we cannot judge the lifespan.

Great value

These lights are what they are, cheap (compared to the alternative product), well featured (8 pixels) and do what they are intended to do. They're 10mm LEDs so equivalent to other 10mm spec fixtures.

I haven't had them long enough to comment on the lifespan but it doesn't let you leave it blank.

Edit: Having had a chance to use the lights a bit more now, I would say they represent good value for money. One thing that I would like to see changed is the location of the DMX and/or power inlet sockets.

At the moment, the DMX sockets are located nearer to the IEC outlet. If you hang the bars vertically it means you always have to run either power or DMX down the bar. If the IEC inlet was where the outlet is, you could orientate the bar so DMX and power are all at the top and make for neater cabling.
