Stairville led bar

I got the stairville led bar for my drum kit, it is in front of my kick drum pointing upwards the effect is great I just set it to one setting that goes through a lot of different effects, nice and light to carry ha ha, and for the price a great add on for any band or dj.

Amazing Light for the Price

This was an awesome light for the price. It was DMX controllable which was a particular need of mine and can easily be setup with light to sound so that I can just plug in and go!

This particular light would look great if it was also accompanied by another one on a PA stand for instance. I have them producing light shows beneath the PA speakers.

In terms of build and durability - they are great and not just made out of flimsy plastic.

If I was to try and improve the product then I would perhaps make it so that I could provide fixings with the product in order to attach them to a stand or a pole without buying an extension but apart from that, would highly recommend.

I bought this for my home studio, to give it a bit of atmosphere. It is somewhat cumbersome to program (a small menu system), otherwise no complaints. Except microphone sensitivity is too low for home use. Luckilly I don't need that. Anyway it works better than expected and looks fabulous.

Bright, looks good, doest the same as the high Bars, so why not. Get a quality build product, bright, and does exactly what a led bar should

Does the job well for very little money

I use these units to wash walls at events and in theatre productions. They Do the job absolutely fine. The casing itself is metal with plastic end caps and a clear plastic cover over the LED's. I don't think these plastic elements would stand up to heavy touring, but with care I don't see why these units wouldn't last. Dimming towards the bottom 10% or so is a little "steppy" as can happen on cheaper LED units, but for the price tag you really can't beat it. They give a good even wash over a wall. There are a few colour hot spots towards the bottom due to the spacing of the LED's when using a colour that uses a mix of red, green or blue - so, red patches in a magenta wash.

I love this light

I purchased this just because i liked the look of it and i figured it would be great behind of my DJ front. Not disapointed at all. If I have one gripe I wish the spread on the outside was greater. A standard DJ front needs two of these to fill. Really good light.

We are really pleased with these lamps. Very functional and easy to put up. Very impressive in operating remotely with 24 channels, when you can adjust one of the eight parts of the whole lamp. There are also many presets and programs with adjustable settings of the lamp without the remote. Also, there is a cool possibility to put the device in the Slave mode, allowing you to connect many of the same devices in series, without the remote, and very quickly set up a convenient and necessary program. We have used four lamps for a year now and no problems have been found yet.

Excellent value for money

These LED light units are excellent value for money and are great for touring DJ'S / entertainers and alike. They are bright and colours are bold and clear. They do not produce heat or any buzz or noise and they are a lightweight compact design.

They work excellent as a stand alone unit either in a single colour or in auto mode where they cycle through their modes. For simple DJ use they have a sound- light option which is ideal for quick easy lighting at wedding etc.

However best options / control are with DMX. Agin they are quick and easy to set up and work with all desks I have used.

Light output is great but they are not ideal as a wash light as unfortunately the focus of the light (on all units I have so its not a fault) produces a nasty shadow in the lower portion of the light output. Also they produce very narrow, direct light so to flood a large wall or cloth you will need several of them in a line.

It is possible that some frost gel / directional frost may overcome this issue and offer a nicer softer light output.

This does not stop them being an excellent unit for the cost and for effect and ease of use they are ideal.

Power and DMX can be daisy chained and as they are LED you can run hundreds of them at a fractional power usage. In comparison to UK prices for similar products these are a no brainer

Cheap, easy and functional!

Good features and easy to use make these a very good buy!

Light output is better than you think it will be. It's still cheap so you can't expect wonders to happen, but they do the job and the light is visible on white walls even in daylight!

If you get several and use them and use them with a DMX-program you can make really cool effects due to the 8 segments, and if you're just looking for a solid led-bar to light up a wall, the built in programs offers many beautiful solutions for this too!

I would recommend these to anyone who needs a led-bar, it's cheap and it's versatile!

Brilliant Light Bar

Purchased this to light up a dj booth from the rear. I have since used it for so much more its turned into one of my favourite lighting effects... So basic but really makes a difference. Works well with the Stairville PAR56.

Cant comment on lifespan as I have only owned it for a month but its going fine and the quality is second to none. Very well priced.

The colour fades are pretty seemless and with DMX its really responsive.

Sound to light mode is not that great but the presets are good for basic applications.

The screw thread on each end is good for stage builds and perfect if you want to mount on stands. The option to link units together is perfect for mood lighting and uplighting. Overall this is a really good value light and multiple units work perfect together.

ive purchased these to light a marquee. i got one to start with to test light output and colour mixing etc. im so happy im buying 14 more of them!

i am really really pleased. ive looked at several videos online and seen the effects and options available with this light. It can be split into 8 sections and controlled separately which allows for some great effects.

stand alone its a great wash light, great in the home and a nice light for the garden on dry days o under a canopy -IT IS NOT WATERPROOF.

There are some pre programmed effects which can be altered slightly ie fade time, strobing, colour etc. I was able to read the instructions and figure this out in seconds.

colour output is very good - solid colours are great but white is a little offish and not the best but its forgiven by the other colours. Its bright and gives an even wash.

its a very sturdy build quality but actually looks great. its modern and quite stylish and doesn't look ugly at all. if used stand alone then its only the power cable that comes out of it so it can be tucked away quite neatly to wash light a wall. it comes with two sized feet, tall or short so you can set it higher or lower to the ground. these feet are also drilled so that it can be rigged to a lighting bar.

they give off no heat at all and make no noise or hum so they are safe and can be used anywhere - behind a tv looks great.

DMX control allows this light to be used to its full potential. They are easy to set up with DMX and work brilliantly. The only issue I have seen is the light is oddly focused and there appears to be a shadow and an uneven light pattern when used against a wall but it does not detract too much from the effect and is still very good

Power can also be linked in and out to daisy chain these units, although Im not sure how many can be linked together!

im really happy with these lights and cant wait to get the rest. They will be perfect for my marquee and even around the house.

unfortunately ive not been able to text lifespan but its LED so im guessing its going to last a long time and give a consistent light for its whole life

I have purchased two of these ledbars and they have probven to be very usefull/

The ledbars have a very high light output and they can double as a blinder.

programming is done easily through with the ledscreen menu.

good bang of light for the buck

Stairville Led Bar 240/8 RGB DMX 30° are superb.

These lights are fantastic. Very bright output and I would say better than other branded light bars that I have. The fact that you can control the 8 different sections via DMX is the best bill. The programs are brilliant aswell. One down side is you can't control the speed of the programs, but only a very little downside. Definitely going to buy some more of these. They come with two different lengths of stands which is a bonus for me.

very good light

I have 2 of these that i use for a number of applications, stage wash or uplighting, only issue is the plastic front screen that can crack easily, i have put clear tape along the whole length the strengthen and deflect any bangs. that said very good

Strong Casing & Bright Light Output

Great unit with fantastic light output and multiple DMX functions. The build quality is superb and the casing is strong and robust. Excellent product and excellent value for money. I would highly recommend this product and will purchase more in the future.
