Bright and Small

Bright and Small, I used these to add a touch of atmosphere to a few shoots. Very handy because of their size but the plug lead is a little short. I've since moved over mostly to LEDs but I do love the warmth from these lights.

Wunderbarer PAR im Kleinformat

Yo, da gibt‘s nicht viel zu sagen liebe Lichtfans. Der PAR ist klein, leicht und hat nie schlechte Laune. Mit einem hochwertigen Leuchtmittel ausgestattet freut er sich jedes Mal wenn ihm die Leuchte in der Birne angeht. Ich kann den Spot für jeden empfehlen der auf die alte wunderbare PAR Spots steht. Dazu noch ne Minitraverse und ich könnt mich den ganzen Tag drunter legen und ne Lichtshow über mir abfeuern. Natürlich auch die nur im Kleinformat. Und dazu ist der Spot natürlich unverschämt leicht. Damn, nur gute Sachen. Verarbeitung auch gut, Preis auch gut. Einmal, alles gut, immer gut. Rein in den Einkaufswagen. Cheers

Very nice

The usual Par16's you'd get anywhere else. Few downsides which is with the inner mesh of the gel frame and the steel wire on the gel frame too. But both can be easily removed, but of course do your own safety checks before hand,

Excellent PARs, super cheap

Very well built, sturdy filter frame but you might want to remove the mesh if your GU10's are not the brightest. Safety cables seem overkill at home, but might be demanded in public places. Brackets and screws seem decent.

Used with Philips Hue spots, that connect well to the hub, despite the metal container.

Small, Strong, but the real deal!

I can't believe the cost for these!

The construction is perfect, we ordered 8 for our office poster display, and we will be ordering more soon to add into our rental stock.

We would prefer being able to pay for a UK plug or no plug at all, I don't like plastic waste but we find ourselves having to cut off the european plug to mount into our UK or True1 ends.

No plug option please! :)

Very professional look. The cable is a bit short, I replaced it with a longer cable.

Great little lamp

Nice little wash light to add some atmosphere to a room. Sturdy housing, well built, great value.

I used LED light inside and works perfectly, without any high temperature. Very nice and good product for a small price. I love them.

Good lights but I had to put guffer tape so as the natural light does not flood from the back of the color filter

These are cool!!!

I am trying to create a guitar lounge theme in my living room. I live in a small place and was using a large standing lamp I bought for ¤80 in TK Maxx. I never really used. These are an exceptional idea as an alternative and give you that kind of stage feel. When all parts are combined bulbs, filters etc you can have the lot for around ¤50. I am over the moon. I am going to be ordering the barn doors to go with them on my next order.

If I had one criticism it is that when looking at items like this on the website it is very hard to get a sense of perspective (size) from the image against a plain white background. Maybe a single photo of them in a set up by a PA or guitar would help.

Pros

Lamp change dead simple.

Good quality finish, hard to scratch.

Cons

With all the safeties (not a bad thing) it does look a bit ugly. Have removed them for TV shoots etc where visual is more important.

Good lights for the money and purpose

Do what is advertised on the tin, which is to provide a decorative light. The gel holders are a bit difficult to fit into the holders, but a judicious application of needle-nosed pliers handled that. A bit more difficult if you want to have both gel holders and barn-doors, but still possible. I used mine with 35 watt lamps ... the sticker stated that they are rated up to 50w, but I vaguely recall a somewhat lower number in the product description; no worries, as 35w was all I had on hand. They look cool, and they actually provide good fill, rim, back and kick lighting for videos.

Dangerous

I got these little spots for my studio, I was first attacked by the looks.

I installed 8 of them on rails. first section of 2 was fine and the other 2 didn't light up.

After some time testing the whole installation, it turned it turned out the electrical wire of 2 units were badly screwed, were out of the socket and touching the metal housing.

So lucky me, i didn't touch them...

The filters are difficult to install and you'll have to bend the holders.

So if you buy them, be ready to fix them...

Fantastic birdy pars

easy to use, great quality and build well, not using them for stage lighting but using them for display lighting and they work just great. works well with LED lamps aswell.

Perfect for installations

Really can't fault these for the price.

Comes with wire safety linking lamp holder to the main body, which makes changing the lamp up a ladder much easier.

Lamp holder is removed by 2 thumb screws so nice and easy to change lamps over.

Filter holder a little hard to fit the first time, but would rather is was a secure fit like this than a lose fit.

Works well and good value for money

I bought 4 of these Par 16's and have used them a few times now. I find them to be great and was surprised by how rugged they are compared to other Par 16's that I have used in the past.

Brighter than you'd expect for the price

Small in size but big in light! I bought these to be used for music video production and also live lighting. As you'd expect with a lot of filler lights they can get extremely hot so be careful when using after long periods of time, although that's to be expected.

They're sturdy enough and were great value for money I'll continue to use them. The only thing I can expect to fail on me would be the bulbs but they are sold separately and the maximum wattage the cans can power are 25 watt. I have tried with a 50 watt halogen led bulb and they do work and are super bright, but probably not to be intended for prolonged usage.
