We purchased eight of these fixtures to replace some old existing stock. These units are very well made and of course very easy to use. They come with safety cable and also frame and of course these items are fitted with European plugs, which we replaced with 16amp. They are very strong and sturdy, so don't let the cheap price put you off, they are excellent value for money and the polished chrome looks amazing, especially on corporate jobs. As with most fixtures like these, they are very easy to lamp and take literally two minutes to do. Stairville do it again with a great fixture at a great price

These units are an excellent price and great spec. even come with a fixed safety bond, rated up to 500 watts. Bought and fitted as part of a local theatre upgrade. I have been specifying these and the long cans for some time now and fit them with 500watt lamps, a much better setup for small halls/theatre as a par 64 used at half brightmess gets a bit orange, these full out at 500watts are the answer. Not all par 56 cans are rated at 500 watts, these are. I have re-discovered par 56 can by using this combination. Try it!

...and it does what you expect it to do. Once upon a time, I needed two PAR-16-size cans to light up some items at an event. Got two of this item, and some local light bulbs separately. Let's have an FAQ: 1. Does it fall apart if you swing it? No, it's relatively sturdy. But try not to swing it like a hammer. It's not a flimsy build, but it's not a tank either. 2. How long is the cable? Short, 35 cm is pushing it. You should prepare some extension cables in advance. 3. Do I need to hook it or screw it or glue it on something? You can but you don't have to. It will stand on its own just fine—keep the cable safe though since it will be in contact with the floor/stage and may show some wear after very frequent use. Enjoy, just remember this hot tip: buy bulbs and prepare cables.

This Par 56 is great in quality and build for it's price. I wish it includes a assembly manual though for first time users, especially because someone might forget or don't know how to use the ring guard to secure the light, also I wish the holder was more a higher quality than what's inside, it's somehow like a ceramic kind of material that can be broken to pieces when drop down. (The Holder or the terminal to connect with the light). But overall no regrets with it. It's working fine, you just need to absolutely make sure to fit the light correctly in the holder to be secure. This is great especially the DMX system is built in, no need to buy dimmers.

This light is great for a wide range of uses. I have used it for uplighting, foot light/side light, and rigged on a lighting stand. The dual yoke makes it perfect for floor standing, but it has also got a hole for mounting a hook clamp etc for rigging - which is very useful! I put a 500w MFL lamp in it, and it was plenty to light up my living room. You would need an adapter (or to wire on a new plug) to use it in most dimmers (in the UK anyway) - but that is no issue! It's a great product at a great price - and I haven't found anything better elsewhere!

Yo, da gibt‘s nicht viel zu sagen liebe Lichtfans. Der PAR ist klein, leicht und hat nie schlechte Laune. Mit einem hochwertigen Leuchtmittel ausgestattet freut er sich jedes Mal wenn ihm die Leuchte in der Birne angeht. Ich kann den Spot für jeden empfehlen der auf die alte wunderbare PAR Spots steht. Dazu noch ne Minitraverse und ich könnt mich den ganzen Tag drunter legen und ne Lichtshow über mir abfeuern. Natürlich auch die nur im Kleinformat. Und dazu ist der Spot natürlich unverschämt leicht. Damn, nur gute Sachen. Verarbeitung auch gut, Preis auch gut. Einmal, alles gut, immer gut. Rein in den Einkaufswagen. Cheers

I bought this product for the theater I'm working on. I'm very exited by the quality of this Pars! Almost everything it's perfect from the safety (I preferred the clip because can be put out by one hand. this one that product offers need 2 hands to unscrew the safety but it's ok) the body it's very good and the cable all made perfectly with the latest safety iso. I recommend this product!! New buyers let this Par with a lamp in use for at least 5-6 hours so the fresh paint get burned because it's smells bad for the first ours of use ! Don't be afraid all model have the same issue aIts the smell of the freshhhhh.... :)

Used some of the with 500 watt lamps to replace some ancient par 64s in on a medium sized village hall stage. Installed some Stairville short par 56s with them. The end result was far supior than the old par 64s as I always use 500 watt lamps in these now. The advantage the Stairville par 56s have over most other brands is that they are rated at 500 watts, most are only rated for 300 watts. If you have given up on par 56s as not bright enough, try this combination as it really works. Great value cans!!

For an item where there are so many different brands available we have found this model/brand to be the best. Very rugged build quality which can take all the hammering that could be thrown at it when on tour whilst protecting the bulb and still looking smart on the truss rig. The added feature of the built in safety chain saves time and money with a strong hanging bracket as well, this light is quick and easy to hang. Lamps are easy to change with the simple to remove back cover and high quality fitting. We have ordered loads of these in the past and all have been faultless!

I bought a pair of the chromed lights because I knew they would be in full view of the audience and in a room with white ceiling and walls. We use them to highlight a small stage, so they are not powered up all day every day, and we do not use them with a dimmer switch. Bulb replacement is easy and so far it seems there is enough ventilation for the bulbs not to overheat. We use them with a diffusion gel and with the correct sized Stairlight Barn Doors. Fitting the barn doors and the gel holder was a little tricky and the earth ground/safety cables which attach both the gel holder and the light base to the main barrel of the case. These can be a bit fiddly and may not look the part but once they are in place they do not detract from how the light looks. They look great, are easy to...
