Stairville Quad Par Profile 5x8W RGBW 25° 5-stars Reviews
Excellent Product
have 8 of these ..going to get 8 more..
Superb budget light, lots of features.
Picked these up to upgrade from those many 5mm led cans. Light output is really great - better than 300W Par56 cans, about the same as 500W hallogen Par56 cans. Can be controlled trough DMX or as stand alone. Really, best price performance ratio.
Excellent
Very good, only down side is slightly weak inputs for the power & DMX. Overall excellent power and value.
Stairville Quad Par Profile 5x8W
I have 2 of these & use them in-between other lighting units to fill in & add colour. Very happy with the quality & function of the lamps & will probably buy more in the future. They fit nicely into a stairville bag along with some power leads. Definitely recommended.
Simple to use with options
Works perfectly for what i need. I use two for playing live as a solo acoustic act. Plenty of light illumination & the menu gives a lot of options to choose from: colour, sound, dmx, etc.. Great value for money too, & easily foldable for transport. The 45° version is also a good LED Par..
Great value for price
Product worth investment.
Bought over 20 pieces over the past 4 years. They all work as stated and no problems whats so ever.
Great for ambient light, small to medium gigs and even at large out door events.
Will buy again!
Statrting to replace 300w PAR 56's
I have around 25 par 56's that are mainly used on truss for band lighting or on T Bar's. I have purchased 16 Quad Par's so far. I'm very happy with the brightness. I need to do a side by side comparison with a 300w par. I'm not expecting them to be as bright but they certainly are bright enough to light up the stage as I wanted. Very happy with my purchase.
Very good build quality, high brightness unit!
A compact Light with loads of punch
This is one of the best lights I have used at this price point. use two for lighting a small stage and they gave a great face light, and the ability to use white with a touch of red to warm the look up worked very well.
will be buying more v soon
Best led can there is!
I use 8 of these every week for many different situations and gigs, they are bright enough to be impressive in a club with a dmx program and elegant enough to be placed in a dance hall as uprisers.
For their tiny size there built strong and robust, bright and such a good quality beams of colour such as mixing as primary colours. Very responsive to dmx programming and have a great feature of power daisy chaining male and female IEC connections. Really says you can use as many as possible without the fuss in many mess.
Very transportable and slim so easy to store and great to assemble both on ground and off a stand. Legs are narrow well brackets when on floor there used as legs but they are manageable.
As far as tricolour rgbw go they are of fantastic lighting quality and build, few minor plastic parts that can be of issue but treated with regular care should be no problem.
Overall great to use great effect to any club or venue great for mobile use and very responsive to dmx channelling. Come with individual remote controller and very affordable. Cheapish but very much able for the pro gig.
10/10 excellent par can that can be used for everything!
Can't be disappointed at this price
I use these at live music events, and I love their versatility. Wash lighting, uplighting, stand alone disco lights or part of a dmx light show, they can do it all. The power is perfectly adequate to uplight on any wall, and the colours mix comparably to much more expensive fixtures. They do have fans which are audible but only likely to be a problem in an art gallery or similar silent event!
The through power option is useful. The remote control is quite hard to use, but basic functions can be achieved easily. The case they recommend, is actually a bit too loose for 4 of these and the dividers aren't that great, maybe get a different bag.
Great unit, loud fan.
Great unit.
Very well built, great output, great colour mixing & great value.
However the fans are the sticking point with this product. It almost wouldn't be so bad if they were constant, but they start up & shut down sporadically, use in intimate spaces (such as a studio theatre) may not be ideal for quieter shows.
I am still considering buying more as they are awesome units, fantastic for larger spaces (or gigs) where fan noise isn't such an issue!
Decent lights, decent constructions, nice manual
Bought a range of lights from different sources to try against each other before bulk buying one specific type and gotta say I was extremely pleased with these. Nice solid build quality, decent knobs on the end for tightening and lovely manual (seems like a silly thing but some of the manuals from other sources were pretty pathetic). The do have a fan built for cooling but there wasn't any noticeable noise during testing phase although I could feel the air flow. Perhaps after long use it might get noisier but after about an hour of testing it was still quiet.
Largest appeal for me was the white channel which is handy for certain types of camera/camcorder lighting although not great for a subject illumination due to the split shadows.
Comes in 4,6,8 channel modes with lots of pre-sets, one grip though would be the buttons for changing DMX channels you can't hold in the up/down channel buttons and have it auto scale it you have to continuously press the buttons. That's about it though.
I would be nice to see a Thon flight case bundle for this level of equipment, would totally have purchased a bundle.
Met all my expectations
Very powerfull lights, great colors, very stable color shades.
I used them for many hours at full power...never get hot, never turn on the fans.
I used them at St. PATRICK'S DAY, reproducing the Irish flag, in a subway station....they never changed from orange, white and green, for at least four hours.
Sound mode is great, more than enough for any party. I stopped using the dmx controller for regular parties.
Easy to set up...I cannot say how much pleased I am. I fully recommend them.
Excellent Lights
Use two floor mounted and they are bright enough for a band doing a small pub gig!
Stairville Quad Par Profile 5x8W for theatre use
I am currently using 6 of these in a small village theatre and they do an excellent job. They have replaced 8 PAR 56 CANs, I think they give virtually as much light (a great deal more if you were using primary Red or Blue gels). They are very flexible you can mix any colour you like and the 4 colour LEDs give a much better colour balance. The cast love them because they are not so hot. I shall be buying some more when funds permit.
Decent light
I now have a dozen of these lights and am intending to purchase more - so would easily recommend them. The only criticism is that the remote control isn't the easiest to set up and use so that can be a bit frustrating. Fortunately I only use these with DMX controllers so they're fine for that. They can be used on stand alone and the menu system is quite extensive so you'll need to spend a few minutes learning that - for stand alone operations you can select pre-defined colours or individually adjust the red green blue and white levels, though that may take a while. I've only given four stars for light output - whilst the overall brightness is better than a halogen Par56 the white LED s on their own is fairly poor so I tend to cheat by adding in a small percentage of the other colours to compensate
Great item
Very happy , very good light output , very cheap , is worth every penny =)
