Led Can

Very good fixture for the budget, would buy again for a tough wearing light

Above expectations

I confess to my newbie status in regards to both lighting and DMX as such, but must still point out that these lights so far delivered above expectations.

Using mainly for late evening Rock Gigs, they absolutely have supplied enough illumination. They also feel very sturdy and was very easy to setup and control.

From a usage standpoint, supported functions, strobe, colours, etc is complented by a couple of built in programs which do make one's life a bit easier.....as a short-cut !!

Versatile

Just taken a second delivery of these and will be getting more in future. Sturdy build quality, impressive brightness, sound to light works well, great as uplighters or on stands as regular pars. I use them for live band and DJ gigs, very happy. Glad to see they have sorted out the remote control function, seems to be working much better.

Really good lights for the price

I bought these to replace the older Stairville Par Can uplights and I have to say they are awesome! very well built, they look like they'll take life on the road very well. The colours are vibrant and easy to select via the remote. I've bought 36 of them I was so impressed.

amazing par lights for its price

Great product with dmx control and slave mode. One remote controls all if used in slave mode. Good programs smooth light changes compact and bright. 5 stars!

Very good for the price.

Very simple and useful product. Sturdy with good light output for the size and outstanding for the cost. Really useful to have IEC through as well instead of just in allowing for daisy chaining.

Yes I like :)

Already in use for two months on small stages. Better and brighter light compared to the 10mm LED PAR64 and PAR56 LED. Our group does not have lighting operator, which turns on and off lights and changing colors, so the remote control for STAIRVILLE Tri FlatPAR Profile 5x3W RGB is ideal. Yes the color choice is much more flexible and better. Now I started to think about STAIRVILLE The Quad RGBW Profile 5x8W purchase, because I thought that the light will be even stronger. I believe that in comparison with direct competitors is its remote control that gives this light fixture to be better than others. On the brightness of the light give four stars because I think that will be a model 5x8W deserves five stars.

Oh yes, compared to PAR64, much more space in the transport box :)

The main thing - do not forget the remote control at home: D

Good light indeed

For the money you cannot go wrong, very bright, perfect response to music, DMX capable and a remote control! I am considering buying 10 more of these, as perfect for up lights at a wedding, as they are on the stage, or for a band.

these lights have blown me away, I am always hearing mixed views about stairville fixtures but these and out standing. great light output great features, and very easy to set up.

Great value for money

Honestly, at this price I didn't expect much! Here are some of the things I like most and that made me choose this model over all the others:

- It's cheap

- It can lay flat on the ground with its rubber feet, or with its double bracket, so the possibilities are quite endless

- It has DMX IN, DMX out, power in and power out, so it's easy to daisy chain the spots in a long chain for uplighting, without needing extension cords or power distribution units

- Its light output is quite good (don't have much other lights of the sort to compare to)

- It doesn't heat up (left it on all day, it's barely warm to the touch)

- the color mixing is pretty good (you have to look very closely to see the RGB mix)

- It looks pretty sturdy with its all-metallic casing

- the colors it outputs are quite beautiful. The white is a little blue-ish, but I suppose you don't get this fixture if you're after a calibrated white balance.

Some things I noted on the negative side:

- my power-in IEC is a bit wobbly

- the infrared remote is very hard to use and almost never works (but really, it's a gadget feature... i use it for mood lighting my studio at the moment and I must point it 100% on the infrared sensor, and even then, it works one time out of ten)

- the menus are cumbersome (but again, with 4 seven-segment digits and 4 buttons, it's hard to make it much easier)

- the screen is just behind the brackets, so when using the brackets to rest it on the floor, it's very very hard to read the screen

- when using the menu to key-in RGB colors, at very low values (1 and 2 out of 255), the result is unpredictable, sometimes the led turns on, sometimes dimmer than other times, sometimes not.

- when the power is turned off and on again, it starts on random values or programs. Quite often mine starts in "strobe" mode :)

I haven't had the time to test the device in DMX yet, i only used its menus and infrared remote.

I think none of those remarks are show stoppers, and I'll most likely get 5 more of those as soon as I can. They aren't perfect for mood lighting (there are a lot of led lights on the market for that), but i'm sure they're useful in any club or mobile dj kit. Can't wait to take them on the road!

Pleased

Bought a couple of these to light backstage to supplement our front lights. Wasn't expecting too much because of the price but they do the job for us - our drummer complains they are too bright!!!
