Great idea but...

This has the potential to be a really handy little keyboard, but the build quality is just too poor. When you try to play it some of the keys simply refuse to play at all, others will sound 4 or 5 times after you've only pressed them once.

I don't really use it anymore, it's just too frustrating.

Sometimes you need to press hard on the keys to make them ring, which makes the playability really poor

As advertised.

The product is as advertised. It's great to be able to take a piano with us when we travel. The sound is good, it isn't excellent. The keys don't always respond quickly. It's a good value for the price.

Nice idea but needs improvement

I bought this to help me with music theory, and it seemed like a great idea to roll it out on my desk and put it away after use. The biggest problem I have is that the keys are unresponsive or over-responsive quite often. This makes the keyboard hard to use. Although if it was perfectly responsive, it would be a great tool.

One of my friend who ordered this one told us that she wants to learn piano in a beginner stage. We recommended this MKR 61to get started. She definitely liked it and happy because the product is easy to use and its straight forward.

A smart boy to the world of roll up keyboards.

This keyboard is super compact.In fact, it’s probably the most compact roll up keyboard you’d find in the market. love the attractive design but i did'nt find any volume mute button(usable when you connect midi). recommend this keyboard to students and children learning to play the piano.

Repeated sounds when holding down keys

A great concept. Great execution. However, when holding down keys, there are multiple repetitions, and it becomes unplayable for organists.

Pretty fun gadget, but that's it

This is a very fun tool to have and portable too. Sounds good, but the sensor in the keys are a bit off. Sometimes you will press and no sound will come off, or the sound from the next key will come off. It's pretty cool to have and play around, but that's about it

Bought as a gift, not disappointed.

Firstly, it's BIG. It probably won't fit in your pocket when rolled up, unless you have very large wintercoat/parka pockets. You also need to charge it before using it, that kind of killed the 'gift' feeling. But it's loud and the keys are not flat, you actually FEEL them, despite a silicony feel.

pros: white keys sufficiently stable and sensitive for training purposes.

sound unexpectedly nearly decent.

cons: black keys are nearly unusable ...

but the instability help you to improve the precision on how you hit them. Regarding that,,I've read many complaints about unwanted multiple sounds on hitting a single key...well!.. this happens in my humble opinion...just because of wrong fingers technique...on standard keyboards you do not realize that...but when comes to play on very sensitive touch keyboards ( without hammering mechanisms..etc. etc...) and particularly on this silicon keyboard...( adding that underneath each key there are more than 1 sensor..so you must be really precise in finger articulation...just my opinion....in true, professionally speaking..this kind of instrument should receive obviously 1 star or even zero..but for the purpose of a muted articulation exercises session and having fun..I have given 4 instead of 5 because the black keys could have been made much better ..comparing to the white keys quiet comfy and playable though...

Good for beginner composers

If you don't have enough place in your room, take it and when you don't need to use it ,just fold it and throw it anywhere

Has a lot of features, like the rhythms and lots of very different tones, the possibility of recording and making little loops. That is good in such a small piece of gear. However, the touch of the keys is hard to handle and impossible to master.

responses could be better, but for this price the amount of options and sounds you get is mindblowing. great instrument to practise with, especially when you dont have the room for an actual keyboard or piano

Excellent for making gifts to children or beginners . They will be glad to receive such toy. Eventually to be taken in trips/holiday to made some small performances. Do not expect to receive performances from this toy even that it has some functionality. I buy two of such toys and I pass them as a gifts with good feedback from the receivers.

At this price it is a good gift.

Great for theory classes

I feel like I am pointing out the obvious but this contraption is only really useful as a teaching aid in theory classes or as a space-saving gizmo for a music student living in college accommodation.

What cannot be denied is that it is a good product. Each of the keys are fully responsive, the sound is good and overall it would be something suitable for a small theory class.
