Too sexy for my strat

I wanted a guitar that would be straty, but not necessarily as strat.

Guitar is nice, neck is excellent for my grip, sating finish, maple goodness, if I was a Canadian and I could extract maple syrup from it, I'd marry it. Also tight build, no big gaps between neck and body.

Sound is very good, very straty, just what I wanted, really. And I am comparing that to Suhr Pro series and G&L guitars :)

On the other side, quality control seems to be lacking - volume cannot be completely closed, there's some bleed coming through, switch can crackle sometimes or break, seem like components and hardware are on the cheaper side. There is some resonance coming from the springs that hold the tremolo system. Out of the box, frets were awful, very "sticky" when doing bends, I think I destroyed a set of strings in order to smooth the frets.

To be honest - I bought this guitar, cause I saw good reviews on Youtube. It's not a bad guitar, as said, neck is perfect for my grip, and it sounds very good. If I was buying a guitar now, I would buy Sire Larry Carlton S7.

It is a very nice guitar, I enjoy a lot to play on this instrument.

Pros:

Its setup was perfect out of the box. Straight neck, low action, no fret buzz.

The tuners work pretty good, the guitar was still in tune after a few hours of playing, including a lot of bends. The pickups are just fine, you can get nice single coil sounds. The humbucker has a bit more punch. The neck is slightly thicker but still comfy, having a soft V shape, quite rounded.

Cons:

Actually none. No flaws found.
