Signal Converter

Does what it sets out to do for a very reasonable price
I needed this to convert a toslink signal from a TV to analogue for speakers. It worked great, and setting it up was very little hassle. I didn't notice any issues with noise or jitter, everything sounded good. It doesn't have an analogue volume control on it - which was fine because I had a passive volume control already - but might have been a nice extra. You also can't change TV volume with a TV remote control using something like this either but this is a limitation of toslink rather than this device (there are HDMI to analogue devices that can do that and generally better suited to that sort of thing). This is perfect for what it aims to do.
Brilliant
I had a couple of Apple TV boxes that became redundant as only have Optical out for sound and my amps are analogue. A couple of these very low priced devices now mean i have music everywhere in the house as they are hooked up to amps in each room.
I purchase this one, to record cassette tapes via from my scarlett 18i20.
For the time works perfect!
OK but really hissy
I wanted extra analog channel from my NI Komplete Audio 6 so I got this one. Build quality is good and it does work, but the noise floor is really big and it is really hissy, especially when no audio is played on the digital channel. I would not use this for foh mix, and it gets annoying in in-ears as well. At the end, I use this to plug a buttkicker, so I can use the channel but don't have to listen to it.
zeer handig in gebruik
het apparaat heeft een heel goeie kwaliteit tegenover de prijs
ik ben heel tevreden
Does what it's supposed to
It's a converter that does what it's supposed to do, and it makes it easier to use those digital audio outputs from any semi pro audio interface. I'm just very happy to be able to do that for, for example, headphones monitoring.
The only thing I found, is that when powering from a USB hub it didn't do the trick. Maybe the output from my USB hub is not 5v stable output.
