Great potential let down by quality issues

The NT10A sound great in my opinion, there are some discrepancies when comparing against the Y model so you may feel displeased if hoping for an exact match but in their own regard are a solid choice for the intended purpose.

Swissonic have also added some welcome changes such as active design, numerous adjustments on the rear and a relatively low price per pair so they don't hesitate to bring their own charm to the table.

That being said however, there are some issues which I can't gloss over:

¬ XLR input does not have a locking feature (sits quite loose)

¬ Very loud hardware noise (hiss)

¬ Standby mode (turns off even at low volume despite a constant signal)

¬ White cones were very dirty upon arrival.

¬ No off switch for standby mode

I have requested a replacement unit under warranty so will update as the need arises.

Update (4/2/22):

Replacements have arrived and are sadly displaying the same issues as before but now have severe distortion on the highs similar to a bitcrusher, I will sadly have to return them and ask for a refund as I can only assume that the fault lies with the wider range..

I genuinely hope Swissonic will address the issues as there is much potential for the NT10A to become a real contender given the chance and a little bit of loving.

I will gladly come back after some revisions are made.. but until that day arrives I will unfortunately have to look elsewhere.
