Swissonic UA-2x2 Reviews
VO work
I have it almost 2 years now, using it for VO work.
Works great!
cheap but not so useful
if you want to record and listen at he same time then you cant, there is no direct monitor on the interface, so your input comes back while you a recording a fraction of a second after you produce it ,the mono toggle only affects headphone output , its about time every usb interface should be able to output mono on both channels if required, so your guitars or microphones can be on both left and right channels at the same time this has to be done on software at the moment . this item was returned.
Bang for the buck!
Hi everyone! I bought this soundcard last year and for me its the best soundcard under €100. Good sound/construction quality and the features covering the basic needs of everyone working in a home studio! You will not regret buing this product!
device is looking and working good
The sound card works like charm it is heavy duty and it looks great too.
Quality budget interface
case is sturdy and solid, sides are not as great quality as the main case though... Easy to set up, easy to get started... And great quality for the price!
Overall im satisfied with my purchase
Great for low budget starter
I’m happy with the interface but the cable didn’t work on my iPad at first so I had to use another usb cable , had to put the 48v on otherwise it didn’t pick up any noise , when you have the settings you want it’s all good and you can plug and play . Sound is good , so for the budget we had it’s a good interface
World would be dull if we would only use the red interfaces
Great for its price
Simple, slick, quality-wise - really good. I couldn't see a difference between this one and plus €100-200, regarding the sound itself.
Of course, it does not have such exquisite and slick buttons/knobs like its red cousin, it serves well as an interface for guitar/bass recording. Simple design, I like the colours (it goes well with my setup).
Works well with Ableton and FL, also tried Reaper and it just works. Recommended if you're into quality without fireworks. Mac and PC friendly
Introduces noise, squishes dynamics
I know this is cheap and all but I would not recommend it for guitar or bass recording. Introduces annoying hiss and squishes the dynamics of the instrument.
Unless you absolutely need one, save up some more money. Or — the Behringer Uphoria interfaces are pretty killer, I hear.
No fuss interface
Has everything to record some guitar, bass or vocals. Noticeable hiss when preamps are turned up all the way but that is normal even on more expensive devices. Seems sturdy and well built.
Only negative is, wish the headphone amp is a bit louder. It is not quiet really, but I expected higher volumes on headphones.
Tested with Ubuntu Linux and Windows as well. No issues whatsoever, it works as expected without any driver installation. It has been running without issues for a couple of years in a desktop where it's always plugged in.
Quite robust build quality. I might end up purchasing another one just to keep in my bag.
Good Interface for the price
Swissonic keep doing great stuff. Very nice interface for the price, i have it as a Spare of my UA Apollo, just a con, the headphone output not very strong, but with this price we can buy an Amp...
Congratulations Swissonic.
Great audio interface
I used this to record my guitar using a MacBook. it worked perfectly without having to install any drivers. right out-of-the-box. The audio quality is great. I've no regrets about this one! worth the money.
Good budget interface
Use it to power a T-amp E400, no distortion that I hear. Output could be a bit stronger though.
Best thing you can get within a 100 eu budget
Usage duration: 1 year.
Damage within use period: None
Latency - Around 11ms which is amazing for its price
(Tested with laptop, i7 7700,16Gb Ram, on Ableton Live 10 suite)
Headphone Amp - Decent
Pre-Amps: Pretty good for beginners
Construction: Chassis feels super strong, knobs are not the most premium but they don't feel cheap.
Value for money: 10/10
It does it job, latency is fairly low, I didn't notice any noise, but I have quite upsetting issue: I can't just leave it plugged in computer when I turned it off, every time I turn on computer I have to plug auido interface in, otherwise it won't work. Pretty unconvinient on its own, but it also just stop playing audio sometimes, so I need to unplug and plug it in again.
I also saw review with the same issue, so it might be a common problem. Googling didn't help me, I found zero results regarding this.
Good beginners interface
This interface would be perfect for singer songwriters who want to demo songs. Unfortunately, it has issues when you start processing multiple synths.
Simple and slick :)
I bought this interface with very little knowledge about recording audio. But my intentions were to record some basslines on my mac for a friend. And this thing performs and thus far have found nothing wrong with it!
Super simple literally plugged it into my macbook and it worked! after reading the literature it doesn't sound to difficult to operate this on windows either!
Controls are simple and its all packaged into a cool nice well made box, that feels sturdy and looks cool
Thank you :D
Can't go wrong for the price
Low latency on input (I'm getting 6ms) and no noise. For the price it's a great little product.
cool device for its price
Occasionally there are problems associated with sound. My DAW not always see the sound card, and sometimes the sound disappears. But I think the matter is in my DAW and Windows. Quality of this sound device is very good, and it's easy to use. Cool device for its price!
Grat for budget first interfce but..
after using it for half a year, one channel starts making loud white noise, and headphone amp aslo mstarts make a noise too, if i were you i will buy more expensive with better quality that will last longer
