Incroyable !!!!!!

A great piece of equipment

I want to preface this by saying I don't have this chair for too long, so this isn't a long term review and I have upgraded from a 15 year old chair that wasn't the best even back then.

This is a pretty significant upgrade. I have started to develop lower back pain when sitting for longer than 15 minutes due to the flimsy chair that was wobbling all over the place. This chair is very sturdy, very adjustable, very comfortable, you can sit high (I like to sit a bit on the higher side and I'm 187 cm), great for transport and all in all is a great investment that will surely last me a long time.

Sturdy, high quality throne

No question about how sturdy this is. Just lifting it up and feeling the weight of it tells you it's built rock-solid. The adjustments are easy and intuitive, the upholstery high quality with a nice stitch design. You can also buy the optional HTB5B backrest to complete the package

Great for proper posture but incredibly heavy

It is a power house of a seat. Incredibly stable and reliable . Still no scuffs on the chrome. The only problem is the weight. If you have roadies to deal with it, it's possibly the best seat you can have , if not ? Then I'd recommend a smaller seat. The actual seat itself, although very comfortable , is HUGE and I don't weigh 400 pounds. It is a great seat but for the gigging drummer who has to lug around a seat 4 nights a week , it can become very cumbersome

Very comfortable, but a bit pricey

I'm using this throne in my practice room for a long practice sessions (about 3-4 hours) and I must admit, that the feeling is totally different instead of sitting on a cheap drum throne. It's very comfortable and I don't get so tired like, when I use my old, cheap drum throne.

Pros: Ergonomics and comfort, stability and sturdiness, great look.

Cons: If you plan to carry it with you, then size (hardware is not so lightweight too). Price, but in any case I'm very glad, that I have bought exactly this throne.

At first time of use, I was surprised how comfortable I'm feeling on this chair and this is the reason why I can only recommend it without any doubt.

THE BEST DRUM THRONE

I previously had a standard drum throne but I wanted to get something that would help me with my double bass playing. I found that rounded thrones held me back and I wanted to try more of a saddle or bicycle style throne.

I tried out a few different Mapex and Pearl thrones but I found that the saddle was too large and harsh and made playing uncomfortable after half an hour or so of playing.

The Ergo Rider is the perfect medium between comfortable and the saddle shape I was looking for. My double bass drumming has improved due to this throne. It is a monster of a throne and as comfortable as any normal chair.

Tama make the best hardware and this is no exception. My only criticism of this throne is that it is very very heavy although it is the most sturdy and strong thing in my entire set up. It folds down very well into two parts for transporting.

This throne is the best there is, slightly pricey but 100% worth it.
