Hard rock/ Heavy metal best single pedal

I have been playing the Tama Iron cobra power glide for many years. I bought a single pedal for a more comfortable mobile game. The single pedal exceeded all my expectations, it completely repeats all the movements already familiar to me when playing with the right pedal (sixteenth notes, triplets, gallops, etc.), which allows you to play all the main moments in Hard rock and Heavy metal styles only with your right foot. Recommended for playing rock and metal drummers.

Solid and comfortable

I found this pedal very solid and the plate is big enough for playing single pedal techniques comfortably.

Of course you will have to set the pedal settings to your own personal taste but the pedal allows a wide range of customization in relation to tension, etc so it's just a matter of time to find the right setting for you.

So far this is the best pedal I tried in this price range.

Incredibly made

Just by the feel of it, you can tell it's made with quality in mind.

It has a fair amount of weight, but its balanced well. The feeling under your foot is extremely pleasing and simple to play, the dual actin system is pretty cool.

Great pedal

I'm not an experienced drummer. I started learning to play the drums six months ago. My teacher advised me to use a pedal that is not too cheap and of a well-known brand. Outstanding kick drum pedal. I am very satisfied with the design, construction and playability of this pedal. I highly recommended it to drummers who are looking for a kick drum pedal with great performance and affordability. Such a smooth, well built, and sensitive pedal. Every bit worth the money. Never thought I could break an Iron Cobra!

Excellent no frills pedal

Solid build quality, love the feel of this pedal for the price range. It is quite a tough cookie!

The switch between glide and power modes feels nice, good for my diff uses (i play in a rock and rnb band so can use both)

Would have liked to have a more accessible bolt to clamp the pedal to the bottom of the kick but that's a minor thing, otherwise perfect for my use!

We are happy with this bass drum pedal, we are using it in a repetition room. Excellent choice for intermediate drum players!

Rock solid, fits every bass drum I've tried it on.

Tremendously engineered solid bass pedal. Fits all the drums I've tried it on (which includes several electronic pads). Far more adjustable than I'll ever use.

The only con I've found is that as the attaching mechanism is metal, it can scar bass drums if you over-tighten.

Best kick pedal I've used.

Pretty versatile little pedal. Biggest advantage I would say is the quality of the build and how easy it is to set up and move around without fear of moving little parts or breaking them.

Very good responsiveness and easily adjustable so it will probably suit most drummers. Would certainly recommend.

Goood!

Very good feeling on the footboard, very solid and stable overall and at the same time very responsive pedal with fine tuning regulation. The beater sounds too much punchy/dry for me compared to classic MAPEX square beater yet very powerful!! I'd definitely recommend this pedal for all purpose drumming.

What a difference!

Having recently joined my first band and started rehearsing I found I wasn't able to play the kick drum as well as I wanted to. The solution was to buy a new pedal - the Tama Iron Cobra has improved my playing and confidence immensely.

Delighted. Solid, cleverly made, I believe and I am confident that I will have another 20 years of solid and confident drumming. Tama rocks and it's a very reliable brand.

it's all in the engineering and the details. The spring release is very clever, the clamp too... the beater with the face that can be switched between felt and nylon, different attack, different mood. I didn't try the power glide as the default position suited me but I'm sure it's another winner. Well done Tama. I know why I love this brand. I recommend this pedal 200% go for it !

Very good value for money

i bought this pedal as a replacement for my old yamaha one that broke and I am very happy with it.

The box it arrived in was well packaged so there was no chance of any breakages occurring during transit.

It is very comfortable to play. The chain mechanism and the spring is very fluid and feels satisfying to play.

Adjustments can be made very easily - the spring can be tightened or loosened via a small screw underneath the spring. The height of the beater can be adjusted very easily with a drum key simply by turning a lug.

Overall 5* rating is deserved, I highly recommend this product.
