Great quality for an affordable price

These Tannoy Reveal 802 studio monitors give excellent quality for a very affordable price. They are very trustworthy in giving you a unmodified sound, which is what you want in a recording setting.

GREAT SPEAKERS FOR DRUM & BASS, EDM

These are a bit overlooked speakers I would say. They are EXCELENT though. They are very balanced over the whole spectrum, with reasonable focus on bass (but very accurate!!!!). They are front ported which is great for home studio.

BASS

I produce Drum/Bass and what many studio monitors lack is focus on bass frequencies which at the same time does not interfere with mids/highs. If you are into EDM (Drum/Bass, Techno, House, whatever), FORGET monitors with smaller then 8 inch woofers. They will never give you enough information about low end - so you produce bling regarding frequency which matters the most!

Bass response is spot on - if you overdo bass, they will bleed, if you have it right they will sound right - and your mix will translate well. You can tell the difference between right and too boomy mixes, you can spot muddiness right away and get rid of it. HS7 do not have bass at all - just mids..haha

MIDS - neutral and accurate. Identical accuracy as HS7 (I used both of them at the same time)

HIGHS - natural and accurate again, on par with HS7s again, but NOT fatigue HARSH!!!! Unlike HS7:-))

I RECOMMEND THEM

Amazing price quality ratio

I needed a pair of 8" front bass port monitors for my studio and went for this ones. The sound is warm and clear, bass is present but not forced.

I know one of the usual comments about this speaker is the noise but with some good quality cable it's almost gone ( still can notice it in a well acoustic treated room but it is by far tragic ).

So much bang for your buck

I'm really digging these. Great sound, great price, and plenty of volume. My only complaint is that due to the ports, there's at least a significant boost around 100hz. So be aware of that, or tune for it.

Greta sound, very accurate.

Tannoy may be better known for their live sound speakers, but the studio monitors are brilliant.

Super accurate and no too bass of top end heavy. The mids are nice and defines and make mixing in smaller studios much easier.

People are often looking for the best cheap nearfield studio speakers, well I think the Tannoys are just that, I can't imagine changing them any time soon.
