bought to replace Tascam SS-r100 as i need Digital Master quality files. operating system/menus/functions much like the Tascam, but more basic. still; it can record @ 24Bit/48K where the Tascam can't. no file-naming or delete; file management needs to be done on computer (certainly not an issue for me, but renaming as you work helps if you have multiple Takes on your Card). feels solid, simple to use & decent sound quality. i would say that, it might be better to use the XLR in/out options; the Phono RCA can be quiet on the way out; and depending on your source quite hot on the way in. still; no problems getting what i need from it, good piece of kit!
