i think beta 58 is better

pros

the mic is SO SO beautifull..

its very SOLID build... i think i could say its a tank build

the low frequencies clarity is amazing just amazing..

cons.. and why i turn back to beta 58

there is a huge turnoff cause of the high cut roll of... i mean WHY??

why u turn off highs??? all the air is dissapeared

there is a significant problem with the esses ... you will need a ton of deessing the mic even on flat eq ... and if you de esss you will lose a lot of high air that you was trying to get not good

the high mids are kinda honky , the pressence is good for a mic, but not when you have nothing alse to show

the mic is incredably heavy you will need a VERY good stand to hold it

not good for boom stands for keyboardists for ex

also not very good at the proximity effect

The Telefunken M80 is a really great vocal microphone for me, it is great for its price range too, and is capable for use as a sax mic.
