very good

it's a powerful little speaker that you can pair with one subwoofer or only if you don't care about the bass, it also produces a little

AMAZING!!!

Amazing little speaker for the price. I use it as a monitor in a control room and its great for bringing the mix up close. Will definitely be buying more for other purposes. Really loud also for the size.

Just another good product

Good:

Quality seems to be awesome

SMPS and class D amplifier

Small and cute, but plays very loud!

Could be better:

Response is very thin, yes it's a 4 inch but a half liter more and it whould be very much better.

In my home Cinema (surr/surrBack) i will set crossover to 90/100hz for these.

Great product

Compact and powerful for its size, great for vocal monitoring on stage where space is limited. Clean and clear sound and low noise. Convenient to transport with a special bag that can be purchased separately and the bag can also fit power supplies and short signal cables. At first I was a little doubtful about these speakers, but when the items arrived and I tried them, the surprise was positive

Top speaker

My work is providing sound for webcasting and with a zoom/ teams call you need a small speaker for the foldback so the host can hear the conversation.

What a surprise, the sound is not what you expect from a speaker this size. Oke it starts at 100 hz, so what! It can go very loud.

You can also use it for small p.a.. Fill in speaker, on front of the stage or mount it on a stand.

I like the size and the various ways you can mount the speaker.

Build to last, old fashion wood, no plastic.

Conclusion: value for money!

Other more expensive active speakers are less versatile In mounting and size.

A have now 4 104A speakers and I am sure that more will follow :-)

Expected more

Having been pleased with the passive version of these speakers, I ordered 2x 104As to compare. I'm a little dissappointed at the comparison;

It seems that the volume control is acting as an attenuator before the amplifier rather than altering the gain. Therefore the speakers are very noisy! I have used the passive 104s as near field monitors before but struggle with these thanks to the loud hiss.

They evidently suffer from a low quality, internal amplifier as their tonal quality is inferior to that of the passive version (paired with t.amp TSA 4-300).

Cosmetically, the volume pot protrudes further than the rest of the cabinet which suggests vulnerability to damage and could foul otherwise tight fitting cases.

HOWEVER;

In an environment that would mask the noise and with appropriate EQ I'm sure that these would find their place. A relatively discreet, active loudspeaker with a "can't go wrong" setup. For the price, I can't complain too much but would still prefer their passive counterparts for many applications.

Works perfectly even at a high volume, clear sound. Heavy and sturdy. Ideal for home or gallery installations, for anything else it is too weak I guess. Value for money 10/10. Will get more eventually.

Quality Utility Powered Speaker

After extensive market-research I came back to these as they're fairly unique.

I use them for amplifying sound for small/medium AV presentations and as a portable, simple speech sound-system.

They're well-built, unostentatious and just get on and deliver the goods. Quiet and non-hissy when no signal received. XLR balanced inputs/outputs are welcome, showing that this is a serious bit of kit for the discerning user.

A thoughtful touch is the supplied sticky-pad so the mic stand adapters won't mark the finish.

Just a good, straightforward, simple amplified small speaker - and MUCH cheaper than the 'industry-standard'!

Fantastic!

Used for extra fills for large rooms, outdoor fills for summer events with some people leaving the room, small PA for background music and home/personal use. Amazing sound quality, lacks low frequencies which is to be expected but does a pretty good job considering. The volume these can reach while maintaining the quality is amazing given the size and cost of the speakers. Brilliant speakers. Used as rear/side fills for discos with the main subs taking the lows. Used without a sub too and some bass there although not much and volume can't be pushed as high. Will be buying more over time and will end up with them all round the house and being used for most events. The standby feature is very useful too. The ones at home just go to sleep and wake back up when I play something through them. Included brackets are great too, allows me to hang from lighting bar at the rear of a room and even from the ceiling at home. Highly recommend.

Small, but powerfull!

I use them in a church for auxiliary rooms, and they sound great. They are smaller than I thought, but I like that, of course. These speakers are note for bass lovers though...and I don't think they were made for that. They do have a really clean bass. I mounted them on the walls, and they have no noise, even on maximum level. Also, they are really loud for their size.

Pros: small but loud; solid;

Cons: do not have.

Teaching Speaker

Really nice little table top speaker that my wife uses for teaching in our garden room instead of setting up our bigger kit.

Active speakers for a great value

Though I'm well aware they are not meant to be used alone but as a part of a PA system, I bought a pair for my apartment anyway. They're sturdy, sound great and more than enough in a small home, since they fill the whole place. I mainly bought them because I wanted a new product, but didn't want to go for "mainstream" companies meant for home use sold in common electronics stores. So overall a great choice for a pretty decent price.

I'd never heard the box speakers before so it was a rather blind purchase, but I don't regret it at all. Tiny speakers for a great value. Maybe not the first choice for someone who values bass as the first thing in speakers (hence the 4/5 stars for sound), but I guess that's just because they should be part of a full PA system. That's actually what I like the most in the sound - it's clean, neutral, not too bass-y.

Great sounding and useful little monitor

These monitors are a really useful box to have in the arsenal. Somebody needs a monitor in a room - perfect. Hot spot monitor - no problem. I use mine a lot for testing in my workshop too. Very useful and can get a surprisingly good level out of it too.

Small Active Speaker

Wow, The build on these speakers is great and the Sound Quality is unbelievable for a speaker this small.

Excellent for the price

Good build quality, good output. Lacks a little in the low end compared to other compact fills, but, considering the price excellent overall.

exellent for the money

The little monitors are just crazy. I like them a lot. Very low noise on the amps. And of course the low end lacks, but what would you expect from a 4 inch driver. They are very sturdy, one fell of the stairs(not recommended) but survived the dive of 6 meters. So in terms of quality 5 stars. I mainly use them as an upfront vocal monitor on a stand and for that purpose they just rock.

Conference and small gig delays

Perfect for large conference infills or delays.

The sound is very nice, clean and "rich" - buying another two for my office as studio/general music.

A lot louder than I thought too!

I also plan on using them for bar/restaurant speakers on a couple of future installations along side the 12" sub
