Surprisingly good

We use these with the passive version, one on each side of the drum kit (acoustic in 1 room, electronic in another). We also use 1 on its own for bass guitar monitor. Our musicians like them. The volume & EQ controls are easy to get to and they have enough bass in their monitors. They are solidly built & feel like they will last. Sound quality is good given the price point and loud enough even for the drummer.

its only 120db but its great for what i needed. the sound is very clear, one nice thing about it is the amount of inputs and outs it has

usefull, easy to carry, durable but not so high quality for serious performances, it is realy enough for acoustic pub performances.

Heavy stuff

So I just got these puppies for the band and have been testing them as much as I can.

They're crazy solidly built, and as such are also incredibly heavy (which is kind of a plus ?) and feel good to handle.

The mic input is a nice plus and so is the speakon bridge out, although I haven't bought the extra cabs yet, the knobs feel mostly nice (the volume pots are stepped !!!) and it's all in all pretty sturdy.

Sound wise these are kind of what I expected, they're 130 bucks. For floor monitors they're good enough, even though the volume is lacking just a touch of headroom. But I would not use these as main PA speakers. They're lacking both low low-end and High High-end and the mids are a bit muddy and unclear, works great for drums and guitars and all, but that's about it.

So all in all, as a first pair of monitors for a non-touring and slightly gigging band the MA120s are a great buy.

Great for thew price

I use two of them with my Roland V-drum set and I'm satisfied by the sound I get. It's what I need for my practice.

For deeper lows you have to buy the MA150 (but I don't really need something deeper) but they're much bigger in size. For clearer sound one has to give 3 times the money...

For a cost of just a gift

I bought for vocal studio work with children.

For the past year and a half use every den.Podklyuchenno to the sound card. Everything works perfectly.

Also sometimes used as an amp for acoustic guitars and digital pianos.

For a cost of just the perfect solution. I advise everyone to buy and try.

Awesome monitors.

I've had the pleasure of using these monitors for about a month now and i'm very happy with my purchase. For the price they are an absolute steal. More than enough power with great sounding speakers. Using them for vocals and guitars. The only thing i don't really like about them is the EQ section.

Decent for vocals and keyboard

This item was bought to be used by university live music society for live jam sessions and band practices. It has mainly been used for keyboard and vocals.

Firstly, the build quality is great. It has been used regularly for over a year now with no issues. Overall it feels very solid and I like how the metal grille on the front of the monitor protects the speaker.

The monitor is also relatively easy to carry. It is not too heavy and can easily be carried on its side. I found this to be an advantage over the 150watt model which was too heavy to easily.

The monitor sounds good. It's not amazing but it will get the job done. Works well with keyboards and vocals. The only issue I would point out is that sometimes it was hard to hear over the rest of the band. However, this was usually fixed by altering the eq of the monitor so it would cut through the mix better.

Overall I am happy with the monitor. It's ideal for band practices. However, I do not think that it would be appropriate for gigs as it is too quiet for gigging volume. If you want a monitor for gigging I would recommend the 150watt model of this monitor.

Cheap but very good

Very good sound quality and sturdy. Use in our covers band for vocal monitoring and several years and several hundred gigs later they're still going strong. Start to look a bit tatty after a while but no-one notices or cares.

zijn tot men verbazing heel goed , dieper als je zou verwachten zeker als je de gegevens leest , de kick hoor je goed en met een mixer van beringer 802 tussen nog beter echt super dan , kun je de bas een echte boost geven ,

zeer goede klank met edrum 5 sterren , maar muziek klinkt de tweeter wat schel soms , maar voor die prijs die je betaalt zeer ok !!! ander merk voor zelfde zeker 200 euro bouwkwaliteit zeer goed doordacht en stevige trillingsvrije behuizing , algemeen goede active luidspreker voor allround gebruik voor een budget prijs , updaten met andere tweeter erin en super denk ik

Useful speaker

Heavy but a very handy and good sounding speaker. it's nice that it has a top-hat so can be used as FoH as well as monitor.

Foldback for less...

Bought this along with the M 12 ECO MK II as vocal fold-back for my band. Had to buy an adaptor to be able use a standard XLR cable but once connected the unit performs well. Loud enough to be heard over back line and drums in a full-on rock group. Had to be careful not to give too hot a signal to the input as it did distort (handy having the peak indicator) but otherwise good tone and clarity.

Build quality is good though if you gig often then these may not take too much harsh treatment - choose your roadies wisely.

All in all a decent product at a fair price.

a good buy

Needed an active monitor for a gigging 5 piece band. Didnt want to pay a fortune but conscious that cheapest isn't always the best. I read all the reviews about the MA120 mk11 and decided to give it a try. I certainly wasn't disappointed. Build quality is solid and so far has stood the rigours of in and out of the van for gigging each week. Has all the controls you need for a basic level stage monitor. I have used this for an output mix for 3 vocalists as well as some instrument feed and the output quality has been faultless. To date, no feedback issues. I have been impressed with this product and will be purchasing the passive model to connect via speak on cable. Definitely recommend this monitor for live band performance. No need to pay any more than this fir a good practical product. Nice one.

Rugged Monitor

This is a simple no-frills wedge. Durable and reliable, at a very reasonable price. It delivers good SPL for live sound foldback.

Can work as stand-alone speaker for small venues. The mic input can also be useful for simple vocal amplification.

Heavy, but does the job

We use this as our drummer's monitor, and he is always happy with the sound he gets. It's a bit of a beast to carry around, but such good value, and hasn't let us down in the 5 years we've had it. Really good to be able to chain another passive wedge off it, too.

I bought this to use with the box PA m Eco passive monitor. By slaving that unit to this, you get 2 monitors for very little money. They aren't the greatest in the world but are more than adequate

Clever...

This is what i consider a very clever product, a sign it was well thought out

Sturdy build, nice array of functions, adequate power & audio quality for our band's needs, it suits our percussionist perfectly for amping his stuff with a couple of mics

Good monitor box for the money

It's a good monitor for the money and although, I haven't tried it the second speaker option is good to have. I can't really see it being used as an out front speaker though. It doesn't pack the power for that. So, I won't be getting a speaker strand for it. I did splash out on the cover and you'll probably need a 1/4" jack to XLR male adapter to get it running off your desk.
