Not great for use with a band
These are well made chunky little cabinets but I found that fitting them so a stand was a bit awkward and then transporting them difficult because of the bits of stand sticking out. I ended up sawing of bit of the bracket in order to get a good fitting
They would probably be good for gentle jazz etc but in my case they just could not get over the sound of the band.
Box MA295
Found the sound quality very good and worked well as a wall mounted monitor - not so god as a free-standing or pole mounted unit due to complicated fixing system and instability. No carrying handle. Sold them to a studio in the end and went for TC Helicon (discontuinued) close field stage monitors.
Small is all
Ok, I like these, but disappointed with the power. They may well be 100w RMS, but they dont sound like they can deliver 100w RMS, and that clip light discourages the careful user from pushing further.
Mounted on a micstand, kept close to the performer, they will work well as a stage monitor for small to medium sized gigs, but on the floor, they are too far from this performers ear to be of use.
If small is what we want, these are good to have. For intimate, semi acoustic gigs, they perform well as the main P.A. and/or monitors.
