Pretty good for the money

So this is a small monitor with an 8" driver so don't expect low end. That said it works brilliantly for acoustic and vocals and has a tiny foot print. I struggle when I put electric guitar, bass effects and stomp box through it. It is well made and cheap. I've had two so far and although I'm going to upgrade to the 10" I will keep this one for my vocal partner.

Very good!

We like it because it's very compact and light. Suitable for a small scene. It have a good sound. The body is hard, it is difficult to damage. We bought two monitors and will use them for a small stage - two singers, a guitar, keys and a hand drum.

Drum Foldback Speaker

The item is better than we expected. Although the bass drum sound is a little lacking which is to be expected for a speaker of this size, the overall sound quality is excellent and perfect for the drummer in our church worship group to hear what he is playing

Excellent Product!

This monitor is brilliant. IT's so powerful i only ever need it on halfway even in a gig environment.

Easy to set up, mobile and small considering the power it transmits.

No downsides as far as i can see so far

A great little speaker

These speakers are small but sound very good and are as loud as you would need them to be. I used some belonging to a friend then decided I must buy some! I have used them for stage foldback (don't take up much room - great!) and for playing backing tracks for a recording. Perhaps a little EQ would help but at the price they are a great buy and the build quality is excellent.

Great for the price

This is a very clear and loud little monitor. Don't expect it to do everything, and its low end lacks but for vocals/keys etc. it works great.

I use this in a function band, and it's the perfect size for slinging in the car and is small enough to fit on even the tiniest stages. Requires minimal EQ and sounds as good as the other 8" monitor we have that cost 4 times as much.

The rubberised handle is a bit rubbish as when you lift the monitor up it traps the rubber coating and cuts it up, so it probably won't last. The foam on the grill isn't glued down well in the corners either, but there's a grille underneath for protection.

Overall though, it's fantastic for how little it costs and as long as you're not expecting to put kick/snare/bass etc. through it, it punches well above its weight.

Excellent Good Looking Monitor

I was very pleased when we received this monitor. The wedge shape makes it ideal for our stage. It looks classy and it is well constructed. The handle makes it easy to move around as well.

The monitor is just at the right angle to help our musicians. They think the sound from the monitor is crisp and even. There are no spikes in sound and there has been interference or feedback if normal precautions are used.

The auto on feature is great and works as expected. The pass through feature also lets us add another monitor in the series. All in all this has been good value for the money!

Small but powerful

Purchased 2 of these for the stage at my local church, they stand up to the rigors of being moved as the stage needs demand. They have a nice sound and the feedback from individuals who have used them is that they are small but powerful.

Good monitor for small gig / practice usage

While only having this monitor for a short time, in it's short application with me I have found that it is loud enough for most acoustic and small band gigs, it has a clip/limit control which is perfect for when the venue doesn't have it's own outboard effects or monitor system of its own, if you're looking for something for bigger/louder or more venue style use though I would recommend the slightly bigger 120watt version of this monitor.

very useful monitor

I bought a couple of these for my band but I ended up using them with a Zoom A.2 acoustic guitar processor as a stereo backline for my electro-acoustic guitar. The sound is very good and they are well made. Highly recommended for many purposes.

Monitors

When I first bought these I was skeptical but the reviews that had been left by other people gave me the confidence to try them. Best decision I ever made. They are perfect for speeches, prechers and I even use one of them as a singers monitor. Because they are so small I can turn them really loud without fear of feedback. I have never had to put the inbuilt volume on them louder than half way and I barely have any volume on the mixer but they are at times louder than my main speakers. Crazy thing is my main speakers have 2 15" cones ha ha ha. I recommend these beauties

Excellent Value for Money

For the money and their intended purpose these are excellent! I wouldn't use them for a rock-band, but for acoustic/folk acts they are brilliant. Easy to set-up and not obtrusive on stage. Performers love them!

Great product

disnt expect too much from this (due to price) but was surprised how good it is. Compact, powerful and feels robust. Bonus having a handle (not all in this price range do,) if space is an issue (storage or small stage) then this is for you.

Have been using this for a 6 piece band. Positioned in the centre we all can hear what's going on through a basic fold back mix.

Drawbacks are its quite heavy (but would not be happy if it was too light) and the foam covering the front has already started to come away from use - but only cosmetic. Will probably buy another when we start playing in larger venues.

Good spec for the price

Fantastic monitor!

If you're looking for a compact but clear and defined monitor, then look no further. This is a truly fab piece of kit. I bought one for use at a residency gig in a bar where space was a real issue. Was a little dubious given it's small size (8") but then I plugged it in and wow. Just wow. Never heard such fabulous sound from such a small piece of kit. I now own three and regularly use them when doing sound for function bands who are used to big 12/15" floor monitors and every single person who's heard/used them has commented on their clarity.

Very good for small venues

I bought this to hear my guitar synth in small venues where there was no house rig in place. It did the job perfectly. It is only 70 watts but I used it for the synth and some vocals too. It is lightweight and easy to transport with the side handle. The only gripe I had was there is no eq function and the volume knob is located at the rear making it hard to reach during a gig. All in all a cheap reliable way of providing on stage sound for small intimate venues. I would buy again for the venues we play in but if you need a good bit of volume ie bigger venues then you are best to maybe spend the extra on more watts

MA8 monitor..

I have had this monitor for a few years now and find it very useful. It is ideal for a small PA setup or even used as a power amp for busking. Also, I have used it as an acoustic amp for piezoelectric guitars.....

Good active monitoring speaker

I was looking for an active stage monitor that weren't too big but powerful enough to do the job well. Didn't want a bulky one since the venue was not so big. I needed two active stage monitors but due to its brand name (never heard of 'the box' before) and the price, I purchased one first to test what it would be like. OK it's not the best monitor compared to the other branded-expensive ones out there since it has no EQs and the size is small but you will be amazed how much output sound it can produce. Clean and crisp sound of singing voice and instruments (guitar, piano and drums).

Light and loud enough for most things.

These should be used as personal monitor. One monitor per person. For that they are well suited. They are quite small, but the sound is loud enough. If you're in a heavy metal band with big amplifier stacks turned up full these babies won't cut it. They are also not suited for monitoring drums or bass. You'll need something with larger speakers and more power for that. But otherwise the are really good and easy to move around. I give them 5 stars considering the price!

Surprisingly loud

When these arrived almost sent them back as I didn't realize how small they were, then I plugged them in.... Wow they are fantastic, how loud they are for their size, and are so easy to transport, there not going to cover a massive stage, but for small stages if angled and pointing correctly there perfect. There not perfectly flat but nothing a bit of ringing out can't fix, then your good to go. Used them with many different styles of bands, using 4 of them as 4 way monitor mix and they work great only had compliments on the stage sound, also saves breaking your back carrying them around.
