The battery compartment sucks

FIrst there is this little tape or whatever, then when you put in the battery that it comes with CR 2032, it fits correctly, however the battery door that comes off to access the battery compartment is not tight enough, the connection of the battery to the terminal doesn't work correctly, and I ordered 2 of these, both the same loose door. Since the door doesn't push down enough to make a secure tight connection, you are unable to turn the tuner on, but when it does work, it works well, its just not as high quality as a Snark because of the battery door

Useful

I got this tuner as a part of the starter set with my first electric guitar ST-20HSS. I used to play an acoustic guitar where the scale is fixed and there any tuner is ok which I used to download to my smartphone. But as I found such tunners are not good in the tunning the scale, while this clip tunner works well. For sure, today I am a novice and perhaps in the future I will get fuller understanding of the electric guitar tunning but today such a tuner is very Useful.

The only problem I faced when using this device is the cover of the battery compartment. This cover always fall away :(

Good for the price

Tunes correctly, but sometimes confuses notes and it takes a while to tune a string.

Just throw one in your order

Very handy, easy to use and light weight so it doesn't make a guitar neck heavy.

Simple, reliable, quick accessible, easy-to-use tuner

Very flexible tuner, I use it for guitars and basses, just pressing a button and immediately tuning. Automatically turned off when not used. It can be taken with in the pocket, gig bag, or can be easy fitted on headstock while playing, and it costs nothing.

I always have it there while playing with fellows.

Great little tuner to have in the gigbag

Great tuner

Really good quality, clips on to different types of guitars, and even bass. Easy to use, and the back light turns green when the correct note is reached. Also includes the battery in the package, so adds more value to an already great product. It also has a chromatic mode, so in theory can be used for other stringed instruments too.

Passable but frustrating to use

Pros: Accurate. It will get you in tune.

The light up feature when you are in tune is nice.

Cons: It struggles to find what note you are on. Sometimes it will get lucky and pick out the right note the first time. All too often it will flounder on what note you're playing. For example, I might sit on the B string and it will tell me I'm sharp for the A string, then flat for the D string before telling me how to tune for B, without me changing anything for that string at all.

It doesn't have access to the full chromatic scale. It will only tell you if you are on one of the standard tuning notes. It tries to tell you if it's Bass or Guitar tuning, but does a laughable job at figuring that out.

All in all, it is functional, but frustrating to use,

Has its issues

I've been using this for some time now, and i have two of them. I use it on both nylon acoustic, and my electric guitars. It does it's job.

Main issue with this little tool is that the battery has loose contact with the power pins. I have to put some thick paper in the battery compartment to make it work properly. Also you have to attach it to the instrument really carefully (trial and error) otherwise it fails to detect the sound.

Otherwise, it is cheap and really easy to use. Has auto switch off feature which helps me a lot (I always forget to manually switch off). You can use it as a chromatic tuner or also guides user to do standard tuning.

I'm happy with the device except the battery contact issue.

high quality

a good chromatic tuner for guitar

For the money, great but....

.... this is just a bit sketchy at picking up notes on all my guitars. e.g. a barely off E will show as a A or something sometimes. It's not as good as some other (but considerably more expensive) tuners I've had but for the price, can't be knocked really.

Very useful tool

I am usually very hard on my strings and overall have a heavy fretting and strumming hand so my guitars go out of tune pretty easily. Instead of having to plug some other device or using your phone to tune the guitar, this little device is a must have to keep your guitar in tune. For such a low price as well.
