Thomann CTM-700 Reviews
Easy to use, great features
Worth the price, this tuner offers a great amount of features and is rather simple to use. I'd recommend
Good for the price you give
I use it daily I am very pleased for this tuner and metronome.
Great tuner! Does what I need it for.
Ok as a metronome, not ok as a tuner
I bought this as metronome. It's ok. Everything I expected is there.
As a tuner it is unstable. You cannot rely on it - sometimes it works right, sometimes suddenly it shows complete nonsense... like note B instead of E.
I like the display, but the way how control buttons work seems illogical and inconvenient for me. I'm not going to return this gadget, but unfortunately I can't recommend it to anyone.
Cheap and useful
Pretty practical, but has several issues.
-Reacts to low tunings very badly
-Hiss noise when plugged in chain by in/out
Cons:
+Percussive and loud
+Has different rhythms
Good value for money, fine starter kit for electric/acoustic guitar
I found it to be good value for money, although the metronome deserves some reading before you get any sound out of it :). I especially like that there is also a backlight, so even when used in some shady space, it is easy to use.
Wow
Was a little bit sceptical when buying this tuner but I am very glad I did.
It is packed with features that I literally can't find in any tuner this range.
Would recommend to anyone that is not sure if they want or don't want to buy this tuner because it's a bang for your buck
Just what I needed
This is small army knife for guitar player.
I use it for tuning my el.guitar and el. bass.
You have input, output, metronome, headphone jack, volume control, mic for tuning, big screen...
I think you don't need more.
Useful, sturdy and cheap!
Love everything about this little guy. For as cheap as it can be you get a good tuner that also can tune by "listening" (so you don't necessairly need to plug in), plus it's a metronome so it really makes it your best practice buddy.
It's sturdy, battery life is infinite and you could even fit it on your pedalboard as a tuner if you wanted.
Only downside is that it's maybe not the most accurate tuner out there, but it's still pretty dang on point.
A cheap, but effective tuner/metronome pedal
I have this always plugged in to my ABY-pedal, so can check tuning and access metronome with ease.
An excellent deal!
At this price point, you simply can?t go wrong with a tuner that also serves as a metronome, and that includes a few extra, and most importantly, useful features (such as headphone output, and cable or mic operation, among others).
How one can pack so much technology into such a low price is beyond me. Oh, and batteries are included.
value for money, very good quality.and the speaker sound very nice.
Does what it needs to do
Does what it needs to do. I use it to tune my violin with it as I've just started and still haven't trained my ears to do it properly by ear. And use the metronome function here and there as well.
I did find it a little tacky to use at first. To find all the functions.. But then again. I am new to all this. So that might be just my thing. But I figured it out pretty quickly with the manual on my side!
Tuner is not working properly
If you buy this product as a metronome, then a qualified yes! It is a great tool for practicing with a lot of subdivisions.
If you consider buying CTM-700 as a tuner, save your money and choose from other alternatives.
The tuner does not show the correct pitch! I broke 2 strings to later figure out that the tuner was showing the tone E and in reality, it was the G.
A painful minor third higher! Everything was set up at 440 Hz as it was supposed to be. Maybe my item is faulty and the others have a positive experience, but I would definitely not take the risk again and buy a different product.
Best Value For Features
I bought this more for using as a metronome and it does the job well.
Pros:
+ Affordable pricing
+ Works as both tuner and metronome
+ Metronome has both visual and sound cues
+ Direct input is available when tuning
+ Clip on pickup and batteries are included
+ Headphone output (great for practicing through headphones)
Cons:
-No option for backlight does not stay ON
Average metronome
Does its job pretty well.
Well built, sturdy. Has enough features.
The bad thing is that it only give out mono signal to headphones which means that only one earphone gives out sound, which can be a problem in loud environments.
Seems good for now
I used it only for a couple of days but seems good. Batteries included, clip included... not bad. It has a lot of features: chromatic tuner, guitar tuner, bass tuner, violin tuner, ukulele tuner, metronome with several kinds of tempo and time signature, etc.
Great for this price
It seems it is great metronom + tuner and for really affordable price. I would recommend it!
Great product
Great tuner/metronome. For that price is more than you can ask.
Great little device
I bought this as I wanted to check intonation on a troublesome guitar, and I wanted a bit more accuracy on the readout.
The needle is not as accurate as I would have liked, but the digital fine tuning readout to the top left of the display is superb.
The microphone tuning is really good in a quiet room, but its sensitivity means that background noise effects it strongly.
This is why I bought this model, as it has a clip-on pitch sensor. which worked extremely well in any environment.
Pros: Very accurate digital read out at top left. Easy to use. Versatile for all instruments. Really nice design, feels good in the hand.
Cons: Not enough increments on the needle dial for accurate fine tuning. Cable for clip-on sensor could be longer.
Over all Highly recommend this tuner for all types of users.
For the price It is sensational.
