i would not recommend this item to anyone that needs to use a simple a midi interface. falls apart, doesnt work.

EDIT : got it work by reversing the IN/OUT plugs ... meaning this product was a defect. also it was my second version of this cable, the first version was totally broken and falling into pieces in my hand when i first touched it. Buyer beware.

PS : i'm using it right now but i wont be getting any more from this company

I bought this thinking it might not work due to the price but it's great.

Was trying to use a Roland TD-3 drummodule to midi-trigger a drum VST. On the box it says in chinese english "no driver need". Maybe that is true if you are connecting a modern midi device, but then you probably didn't need this in the first place. It's one of those products that don't work even when they are not broken.

Does not track all hits

I use this to connect my Roland V-Drums to my computer and it does not catch all the hits.

It also screws with the timing.

It may work better with a synth and/or keyboard but I do not recommend this if you want to record midi information into your drum kit.

Sturdy midi cable

Using this cable for programming my Zoom 9.2tt using the editor. Cable is sturdy and long enough to be practical.

extremely useful for connecting a mixer (ex: behringer ddm4000) or instrument with midi usb connections to PC and mapped some controls in your daw. very good for home studio for live performances probably not really, but for the price its the best

Drove me mad

It ruined a perfectly fine jamming session and caused me to go on a debugging frenzy for days. I finally narrowed down the issue to this particular piece of equipment. I still wasn't sure until I saw the exact same issue in one of the reviews here.

It randomly drops MIDI signals which causes certain notes to be not pressed or not released. Pretty much useless.

It's OK

Bought this for sysex dumps (to transfer patches to a Volca FM).

Managed to use it for what I wanted but there was some trouble. Long story short: it works with Windows 10, not with Win8.

I use this to hook my midi controller to my 2018 iMac for Logic Pro & it works just fine!!!

Useless if you use a pedal

This midi interface device made me angry when using it, as it is simply a cheap device that does not function properly. It confuses the signal from the pedal, to another key (another signal), because the design is not done properly. I do not recommend this product and would advice you to buy something from a better known brand.

However, if you simply have a cheap, little keyboard that you will never ever use with pedals, maybe you can use it?

Great yet cheap MIDI via USB cable

I can't complain about this cable. Connection with both Windows 10 and MacOS is stable without glitches or lags.

I use it with Behringer FCB1010 and it works flawlesly, with Guitar Rig 5 and GarageBand.

About the build quality, if you won't dive in ocean with it and don't stomp on it (hide it in the pedalboard) then it will probably last you for very long time. But I must admit, that it has cheap plastics and quite thin cable. I don't know how about interference with other singal sources but as far as I can tell using it in WiFi floded house it doesn't pickup any interference.

Good money for value

simple and efficient

I use it to connect my laptop with other gears when we do jam sessions with friends, it's very easy to use and reliable.

Ableton Live recognizes it directly, no need of any drivers.

I highly recommend it for any need to translate midi data between usb and standard midi DIN ports.

Fully functional midi cable

I bought this cable to connect a digital piano to a laptop and it works perfectly.

It does everything you might expect a midi cable to do and there?s really no point in buying a more expensive cable as this one will do the job just as well for less money.

I would recommend it to anyone who?s interested in buying a midi cable.
