nice gong for an individual sound session, i use it to play over the body. i use a different mallet as this one doesnt sound so soft when it strikes the gong

This is a beautiful sounding wind gong, that can be played softly and also with gusto. it is robust and offers a large range of different notes and vibrations with loads of overtones.

Wonderful

I am using this gong for sound therapy and public sound baths. In both scenarios, it is a wonderful instrument. On 1 to 1 sessions it is not so heavy to play over the client's body and offers a very large range of overtones. When I use it in public events or sound baths, the sound can envelope a group of 30-40 people. I have amplified it and also used it in some recordings, and each time I discover something new and fascinating about this instrument.

Great wind gong for sound healing!

I bought this gong for sound baths and 1:1 sound healing sessions and it works really well. By varying the intensity of how you play can alter the tone and bring out a few overtones- nothing like a paiste but still, very good! The advantage with this size is you can swing, wobble, rotate etc the gong in different ways to change the character of the sound. Highly recommended.
