They're something special

Really exceptional quality and attention to detail, nice feel, nice vintage tone, expecially cranked on a tube amp with all the tones set low. Also, surprisingly versatile. You wouldn't imagine flatwounds on a semi-hollow to put out great funk tones, but do they ever. It's a fun investment to make if you're thinking of trying. Bends are pretty easy imo, though the actual note on the wound strings tends to climb slower. And they do tend to slip and roll, but if you really want to bend a wound G, you can get used to it.

My new favourite strings

For years I’ve played only flatwounds that I loved everything about but the extra string tension and the price. These solve both those issues so I am a happy bunny.

Smooth as a baby's bum

I find very smooth but a bit expensive

Great long lasting strings

I must admit I did not have so much experience with flatwound strings before these, but they are really nice, soft and bendable strings. I use them primarily to play jazz fusion, but they sound great on blues too, they add that ''fat'' bluesy sound. If you like Fender twang sound, this is certainly not choice for you, but in my case, it works for metal great too.

Nice and warm tone

These strings provide a very warm but defined tone in my semi hollow Fender Starcaster electric guitar. I absolute the tone of it, not muddy, sweet top end. Highly recommended!

Excellent set of flat wound strings

I use this on a Gibson ES-335 mainly to avoid string movements while recording. I use clean tones most of the time.

I will order this set again.
