It just works.

I've been using it with my Shure SM7B and UA 276 interface. It adds some extra gain without clipping or any sort of coloration. Doesn't make the sound any worse or better from what I can tell, just louder, so you don't have to push your preamps too hard. You can use it on either side of a cable, doesn't seem to make any difference. It has an outrageously simple single-transistor amplifier under the hood, but it works perfectly, so I can't complain. I just keep it permanently attached to my XLR cable and I barely remember it's even there. Love it.

It works!

More affordable alternative to an overhyped Cloudlifter. Using it for 2 years, with my SM7B no complaints.

fetsound

purchased this fet preamp for the t-bone ribbon mic, and i must say, it really makes the difference,on a mpa gold valve preamp it just sounds fantastic! without it's just so much less, though you could do without

100% would recommend to people who plan to combine their dynamic microphones with audio interface (I myself am using this with Scarlet 2i2 and PodMic). It will up the gain of the mic and you can have louder volume without having to put the knob on the audio interface all the way up

Works great

Gain is perfect, noise level is low enough to not be noticeable for my purposes. Using it with Shure SM58 and Tascam 12, works great.

Best friend for you SM57

I use it with my sm57 and they make one hell of a team. If you add a windscreen it makes a great and easy to carry vocal microphone.

Does the job

Bought it for SM7B - this little amp really drives that mic loud without any unpleasant distortions and stuff.

Really a safe buy if you need it for some dynamic mic with low output
